Anito Hotels – Money-saving Hotel in Manila

Are you scheduled for a trip in the Philippines but don't know where to stay? Manila, which is the capital of the Philippines, is usually where foreigners first land and explore the country. Most probably you'll be landing in Manila anytime soon. There are numbers of hotels to choose from. But if you are looking for a hotel with reasonable price, why not book in any of Anito Hotels in the metro.

In any hotel, there are good points and bad points you will see. For Anito hotels, one bad point is that some scandalous acts have been done before. Some customers from the past few years distorted the image of Anito Hotels. However, that was before. The hotel group didn't allow that image to be stuck in people's minds. They still made sure that they offer quality customer services to every customer that checks-in. Rooms are maintained to be clean all the time. Each room is equipped with television, fridge and necessary appliances needed by any tourist. The staff are trained to give services that are commendable. It's definitely a hotel that you would want to check-in especially when you are on a tight budget. Expect the hotel to be not that luxurious but it will basically give you what you need.

Knowing that booking in Anito hotels are very reasonable, they are still giving you discounts when you book in any of their hotels in Manila. Discount coupons are what you can use to save more money when you book. If you want to know more about it, ask the reception about the special promos of Anito Hotels. Or, when you have a travel agent, you can ask about the discount coupons. Some of their branches in Manila are in Pasay, Sta. Mesa, Caloocan  and Malate.

Try staying in any of Anito Hotels when you visit the Philippines. It's a good way of saving money for your trip.

Diving Holiday

Scuba Diving Holiday Destinations

Many holiday makers go on a vacation scuba diving as they find it an extremely relaxing sport. One of the advantages of going on a scuba diving holiday is that there are so many interesting destinations to visit. It does not matter if you are a beginner in the sport of scuba diving as it is regarded as a very beginner friendly.

Many scuba divers choose to rent holiday villas or holiday cottages close to where they have chosen to dive. This enables then to safely store all of their diving gear and also gives them the freedom to sample the local culture.

Diving has grown into a major travel activity with some divers planning their entire vacation around their diving schedule. Other scuba divers mix their diving activities with spending time exploring the local countryside using their holiday villa as a base.

Africa is now a very popular diving destination with many divers going on vacation to Tofo in Mozambique. They like to dive there as it has good coral diving and an abundance of sea life. Whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales are quit common in this area. Holiday cottages are popular places for divers to stay in Tofo.

South Africa is also a popular diving destination with many divers going on vacation there to dive with the sharks. Many divers choose to rent a holiday home by the sea and then go on safari before they end their vacation.

Australia is thought to have some of the best diving in the world. Many divers go there to dive the Great Barrier Reef, but now have to be careful as there has been damage caused to the reef through over diving. There are many other superb dive locations in Australia and many divers move about this vast country on multi center holidays. This is now possible due to the growing number of holiday homes and cottages that are now available for the scuba divers to rent.

North America is another extremely popular diving holiday destination. The Florida Keys has some great diving and cheap holiday home accommodation. Many divers come to the Florida Keys and bring there family with them on vacation. They are able to rent a holiday villa with swimming pool and get into the gentle pace of life down on the Keys.

One of the good thing about scuba diving holidays is that is a sport that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. As a result many families are now going on scuba diving vacations together. This has been made possible by the rising number of holiday homes now available for rental throughout the world. There is now holiday home accommodation available to suite almost every budget. You can rent a simple self catering apartment, a comfortable holiday cottage or a luxurious villa with a pool.

Sight-seeing in Manila

Manila is a bustling, vibrant city boasting history and culture at every corner. Here, you will see a fascinating mix of Spanish, Chinese, and Malay influences that collectively make up the Philippines' unique identity. If you ever find yourself in town, the places listed below are just some of the popular attractions that you must check out:

Manila Cathedral. Originally built in 1581, this centuries-old church is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. Although it has been damaged several times during wars and natural disasters, the church still stands as a lasting reflection of the Philippines' deep devotion to the Catholic faith.

Rizal Park. Also called Luneta Park, this historic landmark is where National Hero Jose Rizal was executed in 1896, sparking a revolution against the country's Spanish colonizers. Today, it is a popular recreational venue, with a monument of the beloved hero as the focal point of the park.

Intramuros. Built during the Spanish regime, Intramuros is a stunning sight to behold with its majestic and sturdy walls that have lasted for more than four centuries.  This used to be called the Walled City of Manila and housed only the Spanish elite. Nowadays it is a favorite attraction of both history buffs and those desiring to enjoy the night life. The place is presently surrounded by a bevy of restaurants with live bands and other cultural performances occasionally being held within its premises.

While touring Manila, you can stay at White Knight Hotel Intramuros, which is located at the Walled City's Plaza San Luis Complex. It offers cozy, amply equipped accommodations where you can rest those tired feet after wandering all day. This hotel in Manila is also currently offering the Eat-All-You-Can and Eat-All-You-Can-for-Students promos to guests who will be dining at its Coco Bango Café. Students get to enjoy an even lower rate when they present their school ID.

Golf enthusiasts, meanwhile, will find the hotel's Golf-All-You-Want and Golf-All-You-Want-Too promos quite enticing. Reservations for a 2-night stay at the Executive Twin or Queen room type of the hotel entitle guests to 2 days of golf time at Intramuros Golf Course. Those staying for 3 nights, on the other hand, are afforded 3 days of golf time. These packages are also inclusive of breakfast, transfer and car service to and from the golf course, airport pick-up and send-off, and golf-all-day-long fees.

So what are you waiting for? Explore Manila and have a dose of Philippine history and culture!

Beach In The Philippines

Beaches Are the Best Places to Visit During January

As we welcome the New Year, it would be best if we spend that with our loved ones in places that are fun filled and exciting. Nothing is more welcoming of the New Year than being with your family away from work and stress and just relaxing somewhere. If you were to ask me what my pick would be, I would never have second thoughts and choose the beach. You may go to a beach around the area or you may also go to other places or countries and experience a different environment and see different people. There are just so many activities that await you in the beach.

You might ask why January is the perfect time to visit the beach and spend time with your loved ones. It is ideal for a family get away because it is just after the holidays and it is just right to leave all your worries and just relax at the beach. It would also be much more enjoyable if you could travel to other countries and visit their beaches like the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico and the Caribbean. But of course it would depend on your budget and I am not saying that it is necessary because you can also enjoy even when you are just in the local beach.

When you think of a perfect family destination, most people would answer the beach. Just imagine the many things that you can do with your family like snorkeling, fishing, sight seeing, banana ride, Jet Ski, surfing and many more. If you are also a fan of seafood then expect that there are a lot of restaurants that serve your favorite seafood dishes. The evening is also filled with parties and so much energy so you can stay up late and have a taste of some famous cocktail drinks. It is also a great way to meet other people who are also on a vacation.

If you have not thought yet about where to spend the New Year then perhaps you may want to consider the beach. There are many great beaches all over the world and if you have all the means, you may want to check out those hot spots. Go online and search for the best places you can spend with your family in January and make arrangements as early as two months because other people are also busy looking for a perfect getaway at that time. So avoid rush and plan ahead to have an enjoyable and memorable January with your loved ones.

The world's biggest fish – a whale shark by any other name

As the largest fish in the sea, the mammoth whale shark is full of surprises. First up: it has its pick of the ocean for dinner – and it favours plankton. Secondly, it is a reassuringly docile creature. So, unlike the great white – its better known carnivorous cousin with an (often exaggerated) ferocious reputation – the whale shark doesn't eat mammals and poses little threat to humans. In fact, the whale shark's many teeth play no role in its feeding as it is a ‘filter feeder' and so feeds by straining suspended matter and food particles from water.

The Rhincodon typus (as it is officially known) was distinguished in South Africa in 1892, although the species is thought to have originated around 60 million years ago. Despite inhabiting much of the world's waters, the whale shark has been deemed a vulnerable species by International Union for Conservation of Nature. Enjoying a lifespan of 70 to 100 years and with the female able to carry up to 300 eggs at any one time, this ‘vulnerable' status is worrying – perhaps even more so due to the fact that this can be largely attributed to commercial fishing. In 1998, the Philippines banned all fishing, selling, importing and exporting of whale sharks for commercial purposes, as did India in 2001 and Taiwan in 2007. Yet the demand for ‘tofu shark' meat remains and, despite national bans, illegal whale shark hunting persists.

Found in tropical, warm oceans, the whale shark can reach sizes of around 13 metres in length. Each year, between March and July, hundreds of whale sharks migrate to the continental shelf of Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, where coral spawning provides the incomprehensibly large fish with an abundant supply of plankton.

Many holidays in the Maldives, Malaysia and South Africa allow tourists to view these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.. Diving with these denizens of the deep is the best way to capture a glimpse up-close. And up-close it may be – whale sharks have been known to play with divers and even allow swimmers to hitch a ride. As with all wildlife, care should be taken – particularly to avoid an unintentional strike from their huge tail fin – and the diving etiquette of ‘no touching' most definitely applies. It's best to treat this gentle giant with the same respect that the people of Vietnam do, as they refer to the whale shark as ‘Ca Ong' – literally meaning ‘Sir Fish'.

Are there any hotels around the Airport in Bangkok?

Any hotels around the Airport in Bangkok? I have to transit there before heading to Indonesia. I don't want to spend much money on that though. Preferable for only budget ones or any special rates I can get?

The hotel at the airport is over $100 a night although at one time they had a $25 special for just a few hours. (Possibly not typically used for sleeping I suspect). Taxi transportation to other hotels that you would expect would be close to the Airport is often longer than you would expect due to the traffic and lack of turnarounds on the roads. If your transit time is less than 8 hours, consider getting a relaxing 2 hour Thai massage at the airport, longer if you ask for "Special Services"

Any good travel agents for resort bookings in Maldives?

I am looking to travel to the Maldives for my honeymoon in February 2008. Are there any good agents that anyone has had experience with, who can get me the best options and prices for resorts like The Banyan Tree, Hilton etc.?

You mentioned the Hilton -- you may wish to use your points to get a better deal yourself with HiltonHonors. They have some packages to members that don't always get passed to the travel agents. If you are not yet a member it may be worth joining even for the upgrade status once you are booked at the Hilton.

A Little Place Called Bacolod Philippines

Experience a happy blending of cosmopolitan and rustic lifestyle in Negros Occidental, the sugar capital of the country. Celebrate nature's blessings: waterfalls, caves, mountains, rivers, springs and valleys. Go hiking and camping, fishing and angling, scuba diving and snorkeling, mountain biking and sky diving with guidance from reliable locals. Travel centuries back in time visiting stately mansions in Silay City, one of the top 25 destinations of the Philippines. Or go on Iron Dinosaurs (steam locomotives) or other special interest tours.

There are varied accommodation and dining facilities from luxurious to simply modest. Rates are reasonable. Whatever you go for, Negros Occidental has it.

BRIEF HISTORY

Originally known as "Buglas" by its natives. This fourth largest island in the Philippine archipelago was given the name "Negros" by the Spanish navigators when Esteban de Rodriguez discovered the island in April, 1565 and found its earliest occupants to be dark-skinned natives belonging to the Negrito ethnic group. The natives then, occupied initially most of the southern portion of the province, being Binalbagan and Ilog. Two of the earliest native settlements which officially became towns in 1572 and 1584, respectively. Other settlements were Hinigaran, Bago, Marayo (now Pontevedra), Mamalan (now HImamaylan) and Candaguit.

In 1734, the island became a military district and Ilog became its first capital. Bacolod was made provincial capital in 1849. Then in 1856, Negros Occidental was raised to the category of a politico-military province. During this time, several more towns were established like San Carlos and Calatrava. Other towns were created, particularly Saravia, Escalante and Valladolid (1860) as a result of the growth of Population and the influx of immigrants coming from neighboring provinces such as Iloilo, Antique, Capiz, and Cebu. These growth in population and immigrants brought to the province in turn rapid material growth and development during the later part of the 18th century.

The major boon to the province at this time were two: the cultivation of sugar which brought economic boost as it later led Negros to pioneer other provinces in sugar production with its initial of 4,000 piculs of sugar in 1856 increasing to 2,000,000 piculs in 1897. With this, new machineries such as those operated by steam were used in the towns of Bacolod, Minuluan and Bago. Another boon was the opening of the ports like Iloilo and Cebu to foreign commerce.

During the last decade of the 19th century, several important events may be summarized: one, the making of Negros Occidental as a separate province in 1890. Two, the joining of the Negrense revolutionary leaders in the nationwide Katipunan Movement which overcame the Spanish garrison in the province on November 6, 1898 during one of the Filipinos?revolt against the Spanish rule. Three, the arrival of the Americans in the province in May, 1899 leading to the establishment of a Civil Government in Negros Occidental on April 20, 1901. Fouth, the ousting and surrender of the Japanese Forces in Negros (1945) after both civilian and military leaders in Negros Occidental pursued and organized a free government in the province.

After the upheaval and destruction brought by the first and second world wars, the next years following it, were dedicated to the rehabilitation and reconstructions of various sectors as Industry and Commerce, principally the sugar industry. Following this recuperation period, socio-economic growth in the province ensued.

LANGUAGE/DIALECT

Negrenses, as practically all Filipinos, are poly-lingual. Of the 87 dialects in the country, two Visayan dialects are predominantly used in the province: Ilonggo, which is spoken by 80% to 90% of the populace, and Cebuano which is used by the rest. English, however, is widely spoken; thus the English-speaking visitor will have little or no communication problem at all.

MAJOR INDUSTRIES

Negros Occidental is primarily an agricultural province. Of the total land area of 792,607 hectares, 588,145 hectares are arable land of which appoximately 419,305.084 hectares or 53% are devoted to agriculture.

With diversification as a major provincial development program, new land uses such as more inland fishing, livestock & poultry, grains and new crops like coffee, cacao, black pepper, orchards, ramie and others are increasing.

The province of Negros Occidental is reported by the Bureau of Mines to be rich in both metallic and non-metallic mineral resources, notably copper, gold, silver and molybdenum. Among the non-metallic minerals are stones, gravel, and sand and other construction materials, also salt and guano.

The socio-economic life of Negros Occidental from the 1950?s up to the 1980?s depended mainly on sugar, producing annually about 60% of the country?s sugar output. The four corners of the archipelago have focused their wide open eyes and melting mouth to the glory of the Negrenses. Negros is where high living and high eyebrows were. Diving Puerto Galera

diving puerto galera_3"diving puerto galera"
Both in PUERTO GALERA, which one is BETTER???

Coco Island beach Resort or La Laguna Beach and Dive Resort?? Why? thanks :)

it is much better if you could bring a ride. after spending quite a lot of time in galera, i could honestly say that the cash one could've spent on either of the luxurious beaches is better spent on bringing a transpo. not that their amenities aren't nice but one can get the same experience if they know where to go and have the means to get there.

if you are looking for island hopping, go to poblacion pier and rent a boat for whole day for just under 1000 pesos, enough for 8 passengers. you will be boating around different island, the same islands no matter what resort you go to, and you can even visit coco beach but of course you can't actually embark there. you can also ask your manong bangkero to drop you off for a semi-private beach that's good for shallow sea snorkelling and yeah, its also free. then you could also ask him to drop you off at the long beach for a tug-snorkelling around galera's coral garden which is only 75 pesos per person. tug snorkelling is like snorkelling but on deeper waters and you won't be having diving gears. just a snorkelling mask and breather, a life vest is available for rent too. you will be tugged by a banca around deeper waters where the corals are thriving. you won't be diving but no matter, the fishes will come o you as you would be bringing breads to feed the fishes right off your hand.

if you really want to go deep sea diving, there is always a kiosk or a stall in white beach or in sabang. where you can rent gears and diving equipments.

white beach also has jet-skis, banana boat rides and of course the night life.

you can also get the chance to visit and swim at tamaraw falls and other beaches in galera, not just the one you have on your resort.

plus, you can shop for your own food in galera's market. i highly recommend their bbq located just right outside the marketplace.

Manila Nightlife

manila nightlife_2"manila nightlife"
Where is a better place to live Metro-Manila or Cebu City?

These seem to be the largest and most popular cities to live. However, I'm pretty sure there is a difference in these two places as far as quality of life are concerned.

So I'd like to know what is a better place to live Metro-Manila or Cebu City? Is there much of a difference in certain things (i.e. quality of life, friendliness, nightlife, things to do, crime, ect.)?

Cebu City would be better for the following reasons:

1. Less population - peace of mind
2. Shopping - fewer choices so easier to make selection of where to go
3. Location - closer to beaches
4. Nightlife - Not nearly as many options as Manila but still there are options
5. Crime - Less crime than Manila
6. Friendliness - much more friendly people than Manila
7. Things to do - not nearly as many things to do as in Manila (life is what you make of it)

Last minute travel plans for philippines?

I got a last minute air ticket to Philippines - arrive Fri 22 dec at Clark, depart fri 29 from Clark. Any suggestions for where to go and stay? I'd like a couple of days in Manilla, maybe visit Taal for one day, but I'd love to go to Boracay or another island where I can snorkel or dive for a few days. Is it possible in the time on a limited budget? Any other nice beaches for snorkelling nearer Manilla? If I go to Boracay is it better to fly or go by ferry? Can I book tickets at the airport when I arrive? Any good budget hotels you'd recommend?

Sounds like you have quite a plan. Sit down and make an intenerary. Boracay is the best beach in the Philippines. Cebu is also suppose to be nice. You'll probably have to fly.

i need information about getting a working visa in singapore? tnx?

hi there.. im a filipino citizen and of course presently lived here in the phils. ive never had any experience travelling.. but i wanted to go to singapore and work there.. i want to know first if there's any visit visa required to be able to go there.. and what is the easiest way to do to apply for work.. if i need to go to the agency here and let them find me an employer? or go directly to singapore as a tourist visa holder and then go find a job? tanx a lot for those who will answer me.. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS.

As a Filipino you don't need a visa to enter Sg as a tourist. Usually at the port of entry you will be given either a 14 day Social Visit Pass or if you are lucky you may be given a 30 day SVP. It depends on the immigration officer. Wag ka nang pumunta sa agency dito dun na lang pag dating mo. Before your 14 or 30 SVP expires ... para di ka na bumalik sa Pinas magbus ka papuntang Malaysia (Johor Bahru) and stay there for half a day sabihin mo magtotour ka lang. Then pagbalik mo sa Sg they may give you another 14 or 30 SVP. Good luck!

Philippine Package Tour

Best Island hopping from Manila to Central and W. Visayas. What would you recommend?

We're planning some "make it up as we go" island hopping through C & W Visayas, and want to depart from Manila using Superferry.

What itinerary would you recommend?

We don't want to stay at luxury hotels. We would prefer cabins and the like. We do not want to do a "package tour." We want to walk about, get a taste of culture, see some stuff in a laid back sort of way.

If you are Filipino, if you live on any of these islands, please contribute input.
We will be doing all of this during "off season" in June and July.

The safest place to go, I would recommend BOHOL. Superferry stops in Tagbilaran City. And I would recommend going there around 2nd week of July. In July they will have this SANDUGO STreet Dancing commemorating the FRIENDSHIP with the spaniards years ago. And then you guys can go to the beautiful beaches in Panglao and Dauis and more beaches is PANGGANGAN Island in Calape Bohol. Then you can go to LOBOC to see the big cross ontop of the mountain - you can hike or ride the motorcycle called "habal-habal". Downtown Loboc, you can visit the 2nd oldest church, get on the floating restaurant and experience the hospitality they give you. The barangay Valladolid has the floating restaurant and so as the small NIPA HUT to spend the night. I know people from there. Then from Loboc, you can ride the jeepney or motorcycle to go to CARMEN, Bohol and see the famous and wonder of the chocolate Hills.

I am sure there is more to see in BOHOL than what I have mentioned above. TRUST ME! Bohol is beautiful.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!

Be ready for a trip to Asia

Would you feel very boring for your current life?

Would you like to relax yourself with a fantastic journey?

Would you like to throw away your unhappy mood to a different place?

If so, I think this post can give you some advice about a wonderful journey.

Today I will mainly talk about some place in Asia. If you want to get a more visual feeling of Asia, you can also download the video introduction of these world-famous places.

Shanghai, China

This modern city is so romantic, and best for shopping, architecture. SHANGHAI is undergoing one of the fastest economic expansions the world has ever seen. Gleaming shopping malls, luxurious hotels and prestigious arts centers are rising alongside. Shanghai's 21 million residents enjoy the highest incomes on the mainland, and there's plenty for them to splash out on; witness the rash of celebrity restaurants and designer flagship stores. In short, it's a city with a swagger.

Click here to get the latest report about Shanghai Expo 2010

Manila, Philippines

This is a place which is good for adventure. MANILA, a massive, clamorous conurbation that covers 636 square kilometres and is home to almost 10 million people. Manila is a sociable city, with a populace who take pride in their cultural affinities to the West and their embrace of all things American. Most tourists, however, use Manila as a transit point, a place to spend a day or two on the way to the islands and beaches of the south or the mountainous tribal areas of the north.

Singapore, Singapore

Singapore, for it is a very small city, so you needn't spend so much time in here, it is about three days be ok. People and rich cultural diversity in an optimal period of time. Here is the best of Singapore not to be missed: Colonial Core, Singapore River, Financial District, Orchard Road, Chinatown, Arab Street, and Little India.

Tokyo, Japan

TOKYO is a fuel-injected adrenaline rush into a neon-bright future. But at first glance the city's beauty and traditions are not readily apparent. Filled with eyeball-searing neon and messy overhead cables, plagued by incessant noise. Tokyo's reputation as an expensive city is ill-deserved and you'll be pleasantly surprised by how affordable many things are.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket Island, the largest, is linked to the mainland by a bridge. The country's main source of income is tourism, though agriculture also plays a key role. The island is divided into three districts: Talang in the north, Kathu in the west, and Muang in the south. Wherever you are in Phuket, there are limitless opportunities to immerse yourself in local culture and tradition. There is more than enough opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and unique environment.

Well, so much for this introduction, you can also click here to get a free downloader to download wonderful video introduction of Asia country. In my own opinion, Asia is a magical continent, not only by its natural resource, but also mysterious historical sites. If you have enough time and energy, you can really have a trip to Asia. I think it may becomes the most important and unforgettable trip in your life.

Manila Bay – A stunning modernized bay with a militaristic past

Considered to be one of the finest harbours in Asia and arguably one of the best in the World, Manila Bay presents visitors to the Philippines an extremely scenic destination to visit. Stunning views over an expansive body of water, the bay is a sight for sore eyes. One activity that should not be missed is the chance to glimpse a glorious sunset at Manila Bay which basks the entire area in soothing hue that is truly an invigorating experience.

As an important port in the Philippines, Manila Bay is the site of historic naval battles including the La Naval De Manila where the Dutch were prevented from taking over the nation and the historic battle that took place between the Spanish and the Americans. The significance of the latter battle is that it established the United States as a superpower through the strength of its naval fleet.

An island with various attractions in Manila Bay is Corregidor, which was once an important military location especially during the Second World War. Today it serves as a prominent tourist hotspot that features numerous war time reminders. Visitors will find a variety of military installations which have been left in their war torn state in order to pay homage to the Filipino and American soldiers who died here that convey an impression of what took place here.

Another island at Manila Bay is El Fraile which houses the remains of an old fortress called Fort Drum. This fort was created on a barren piece of rock and served to defend the southern entrance of Manila Bay from opposing forces. Today all that is left are the concrete and steel ruins of the fort but it’s still worth a look.

Travellers will need to find a suitable Makati hotel to reside in during their trip. Presenting an ideal choice among Makati hotels Manila through an array of facilities, Makati Shangri-La Manila takes every care to ensure an enjoyable stay.

Dental Tourism Philippines

dental tourism philippines"dental tourism philippines"
Help me decide what course to take please?

I will study in a Uni here in Australia. I just cant decide what course to take. In your on point of view, which is better? also considering the future income i can get..

Psychology
Marketing
International Business
Management
Dentistry (thats what my father wants)

actually i dont really know what i wanted to be. please help me. I took tourism for a year in the Philippines (where im from) but i dont wanna be a FA anymore. I can also imagine mself workin in a big company, have my own office, or have a dental clinic maybe so that im a boss of my own.. what do you think?

You have to look at things in terms of the returns they will produce stacked up against the investment you have to make. As a dentist, you will make a lot of money. However, this means going to get a bachelor's degree, then med school, THEN learning to be a dentist. You're talking at least 8 years of your life for that degree.

Management, international business, and marketing are all good choices, but not the best. If I were to rank business degrees in order of income and job opportunities it would be as follows:

Accounting
Economics
Finance
Management Information Systems
International Business
Business Management
Marketing

As you can see, the three business fields you chose are at the bottom. This is not because I have a particular affinity or distaste for any of the fields (marketing was my first major, and management my second), it's about the realities of the business world. Marketing is very difficult to find a good position in when you graduate, and you're likely to be stuck in sales for a large chunk of time. Management doesn't mean jack unless you have professional training in another field already, otherwise you'll be a secretary for the first five years of your life. International Business is good, but you have to invest a lot of time in multicultural studies, so it will take you longer and your job opportunities will be sporadic. Management Information Systems (MIS) is growing in value, and I'm not sure its ranking is very deserved, and I might have to reconsider that in the future. It is invaluable to be able to build and quantify managerial databases. Finance is awesome, the problem is most companies are looking for finance majors with masters degrees in accounting, so you might as well do accounting. Economics is also a great option, but the investment is longer (typically you should go for your doctorate) and the concepts get pretty advanced. Accounting requires about five years of school instead of the standard four, but can get you six figures (100,000 US and up) within three to five years after college, and it is the second highest demand job in the job market at the moment.

Now, going into psychology, I wouldn't really bother unless you really love the subject. It is interesting and all, but that bachelor's degree won't get you far. You really have to get your doctorate if you are going to go into psychology, and that's about 7 to 8 years of commitment there.
