When I used to work there, I knew that the Ramon Magsaysay Center along Roxas Boulevard was "earthquake proof", being built on a floating foundation, with springs on its base. I remember the building swaying during earthquakes, and it swayed probably more than other buildings swayed. precisely because of its anti-earthquake engineering.
