where can i get the application for a schengen visa (first point of entry- spain)?
can you post a link to the spanish embassy here in the philippines? i am planning to stay in spain for a week and i have accommodation there, but does it have to be confirmed accommodation? what if i want to be assured first that i will be granted a schengen visa before i confirm my hotel booking? also, is the requirement of having insurance valid in europe really mandatory? thanks in advance for the reply!
Unless you are staying with relatives you definitely need to show a valid hotel reservation. Best get a hotel reservation where you pay only a small fee for the reservation and pay for the rest when you arrive. A good site for this is http://www.hostelworld.com.
It is really mandatory that you have insurance. Inquire at the embassy what kind of insurance they accept. (Germany for example only accepts AXA and Allianz, don't know about Spain.)

Be warned that getting a Schengen visa in the Phillippines is very very hard. You'll probably need an appointment to get your Schengen visa.
