im a green card holder n US,do i need to renew my passport in phils or here if i travel back home?
my passport issued in philippines will xpire soon,im just wondering if i will renew it there or can i do it here,or am i going to use that phil passport till i am citizen here and can get a US passport?
If you just have a green card, you sure have to have a valid passport(i.e. the one that is not expired) to travel outside united states. You cannot travel without expired passport. It is my personal experience. But if you have already been naturalized as citizen of united states you can apply for American Passport and travel using it. Should you have any queries regarding your philipino passport you can always contact your embassy and I think it can be renewed here from United States.
