Can anyone recommend a VERY affordable hotel/guesthouse/hostel in Hongkong?
We're traveling on a budget and wouldn't want to spend a lot on accommodations. We're looking for something accessible, a place where we could stay and easily get around. Are the guesthouses in Nathan Road, okay? Hoping to spend no more than 10K (Philippine Peso) for our three night stay.
Chungking Mansions in Kowloon is famous for its cheap guesthouses- there are many to choose from. From my recent experience you do pay a budget price for a very budget room. Very cheap, very close to Kowloon harbour as well as all public transport links.
For 3 nights if you're using guesthouse accommodation just as a place to sleep this is fine and well within your budget. We used agoda.com and moved to a more expensive hotel nearby which was excellent value for money as the rooms were really big and clean.
