Best place to go diving the Philippines?
I am heading to the Philippines later this week. I want to do some scuba diving. I have already dove in Boracay. I was nice, but I want to see something different. Where is the best place to go diving in the Philippines?
forget tubattaha reef at this time of the year as well as puerto princess, it great diving in the dry season but undiveable this time of the year. While Subic bay is great for wreck diving all year long it is one of the most reliable dive location in the country during the rainy season. the bay is a deep harbor surrounded by mountains the weather has less effects on it. with the narrow opening in relation to the over all size it is protected. as far as diving there are a dozen wrecks to choice from within the bay, there are also some good reefs at the entrance to the bay. Olongapo / subic bay is only about 2hours from manila by the Nlex and new sctex. only 45 minutes from the DMIA airport at clark.
