What is the best tourism event in the Philippines?
Ati-atihan, Kalibo Aklan
Sinulog, Cebu
Dinagyang, Iloilo
Paraw Regatta, Iloilo-Guimaras
Masskara, Bacolod
Araw ng Davao, Davao
Panagbenga, Baguio
Giant Christmas Lantern, Pampanga

I have been traveling since I was young, and recently started a blog to document my travels.
I have experienced ALL of these events. In fact, I attended the very first Masskara in Bacolod just years ago.
My verdict? Ati-atihan in Kalibo. It is the most colorful, and the most authentic. You can even say that Sinulog, Dinagyang, and Masskara to some extent are just copies of Atiatihan brought to the bigger cities. And there lies Ati-atihan's charm. Kalibo is still, after all these years, a quiet little town. When the town rises to hold the festival, everybody participates, and the population swells to double to be part of this day of pageantry and carousing.
