comparison UK vs Philippines on £100k salary?
I currently live in London earning just over 100,000 UKP. I have chance of moving to Manila/Philippines for several years, on the same salary + 10% for inconvenience. I would continue to pay UK tax giving me a monthly net income of about £6100. What sort of lifestyle could I expect in Manila on that money? Specific areas of interest include accommodation, household expenses, day-to-day living and recreation.
The money is enough to live not only comfortably but luxuriously ( i dont know how luxury is to you) but that is more than a little half million pesos! You can rent/own a mansion with that money, have your own cars (plural), live among the elite, as if you never left UK or any European nation, have your own maids, and get-away with one of our beautiful spots, perhaps even once a month!
How I wish they would give me the same salary here...hehehe.
But more than money, I think you will enjoy the hospitality and warmth of the Filipinos. Just don't tell them you are earning that much...hehehe
