Is there any site one can provide where I can get to know the proper details, my friend wish me to stay with her thats why she is not helping me know more about it, so plz help....one thing more, is manila or the philippines altogether is safe for an Indian as I can converse in english only not in tagalog? How safe is manila for a tourist from abroad? Kindly guide me in english only not in tagalog,

i just had my boyfriend visit me from south africa and i booked him at an appartelle. don't go to hotels if you're on a budget! they can charge you daily or weekly. when i booked him, it was 1,000/day and that includes free water and electricity, free use of phone for local calls, the room has a/c, tv with cable. there's a stove and utensils and stuff. they clean your room as per request.
the cheapest you can get for appartelles are about PhP800. but those are for longer stays.
as for food, you need not worry because our food is about near your food. we eat rice too albeit you guys like spicier stuff. there are good indian restaurants here too. i ate at one place somewhere in salcedo and an indian lady runs the place.
there are a lot of fast foods if you're not picky. you'll have a wide variety when it comes to food. american indian japanese chinese vietnamese filipino, a lot! manila is a safe place, you'll see when you get here that ther are a lot of tourists visiting our place.
we have a lot of public transport. we have the trams (LRT and MRT= PhP 11.oo minimum) buses, cabs (flag rate of PhP35.00 i think), and of course the jeeps (Php 7.50 minimum depending on the route). if your lady friend will be taking you around, then you can ride the jeep but if you'll be traveliing alone, i suggest you take the cabs or the LRT (although the trams you'll need to know your route)

if i were you, i'd stay with your friedn so whatever money you'll put on board and lodging, you can use for the two of you.

tell her to bring you to tagaytay, to intramuros (something cultural and historic), to malate(clubs although a bit into the gay scene already), makati (malls/clubs)

i hope you'll enjoy your stay here. if you'll need more help, please let me know.
