What legal rights does a person have while working the front desk at a hotel and the customer is being racist?
Ok this cust tonight drunk as he was went on to call me racist names and told me that I did not seem to understand any english since I wouldn't give him a discount after he and his girlfriend used the services and broke stuff in the room. By the way he claimed he has been here in the US for the last 10yrs, from Italy.
And I have been here in the US for the last 27 yrs, and have full grasp of the American english language, also a proud US Citizen. So what right do I have if any against some guy like this???
No he is still here....I gave him $10 off his pet charge, seemed happy...we'll know in the morning when he checks out.
Read your hotel policy. More than likely, there is a clause somewhere in the policy which allows the hotel to refuse service to unruly guest. Drunk and disorderly would fall under that clause. Next time it happens, show your customer the hotel policy and then the door.
