How to got from Lipa Batangas to Palawan?

I am planning to visit Lipa Batangas (Philippines) and from there I would like to visit the beaches in Palawan. How do I do that? I want to commute the whole time, meaning Jeepney and tricycle. I am a native there but would rather ask here. Where is the Pier in Lipa batangas and what do i do? Is it safe this time march 2011? What beach resort or place would you recommend?

From Lipa go to Manila by land then take a plane to Palawan. They are separate islands. Good luck on your jeepney and tricycles lol! Go to El Nido, best beaches in the world.

Manila has a lot of shopping malls.
Some of the biggest in Asia - Mall of Asia is definately worth a visit.
Bay walk, Fort Santiago, Nationa lMuseaum & a variety of night life is in store at Manila . Have a visit to Boracay Island or Peurto Gelera for sand & sea experiance.
