Philippine Package

Ofw's Methods Of Sending Gifts To The Philippines

There are many ways for an overseas Filipino to send gifts Philippines. One is through the traditional method while the other is through current trends. This is through the use of Balikbayan boxes and online shops. The reason why I called the use of Balikbayan boxes the traditional method is because of its significance at the time in which the only way to send gifts Philippines is through packages sent by overseas Filipino workers, or more commonly known as OFWs.
Although sending remittances or money to their loved ones and family in the Philippines is the reason why Filipinos would work abroad, sending gifts and other items have also become a very popular trends for most OFWs through packages. However, the use of a Balikbayan box became popular in the past because of its efficiency compared to sending a simple package. So what is the difference between a Balikbayan box from a typical package?
There isn't anything very special with a Balikbayan box, just a simple ubiquitous, over-sized boxes typically used to contain large items such as a television set. However, the advantage of this box compared with other packages is with its big size. Having a big size means allowing an OFW to send multiple items from gifts such as clothes, perfumes, shoes, electronics, toys to household items such as toiletries, small appliances, and non-perishable food.
The main advantage of using Balikbayan boxes compared to a typical package is its economic benefits. If the items were sent individually or in smaller boxes through postal services, the cost could be significant. However, the only disadvantage of using these boxes is its long transit typically by sea freighters, typically taking several weeks to 1 month, although the use of air freighters could provide faster transit time.
Because of its drawback, online shops became very popular among OFWs wanting to quickly send their gifts Philippines. The advantage of using this technology is its convenience as well as with its ease, though it may require skills to operate an online shop. Its also known for its fast delivery service, if the online shop is based in the Philippines. Another advantage is sending items which were impossible through packages such as a flower. Popular online flower shops today that offer online flower delivery are MyFlowerDepot.
However, the only disadvantage of online shops, particularly from those based in the Philippines, is its limited items. This is because Philippine-based online shops could only provide items which are available in the Philippines. This is also the reason why OFWs still use Balikbayan boxes to send imported gifts back to the Philippines. Philippine Package Tour

Best Island hopping from Manila to Central and W. Visayas. What would you recommend?

We're planning some "make it up as we go" island hopping through C & W Visayas, and want to depart from Manila using Superferry.

What itinerary would you recommend?

We don't want to stay at luxury hotels. We would prefer cabins and the like. We do not want to do a "package tour." We want to walk about, get a taste of culture, see some stuff in a laid back sort of way.

If you are Filipino, if you live on any of these islands, please contribute input.
We will be doing all of this during "off season" in June and July.

The safest place to go, I would recommend BOHOL. Superferry stops in Tagbilaran City. And I would recommend going there around 2nd week of July. In July they will have this SANDUGO STreet Dancing commemorating the FRIENDSHIP with the spaniards years ago. And then you guys can go to the beautiful beaches in Panglao and Dauis and more beaches is PANGGANGAN Island in Calape Bohol. Then you can go to LOBOC to see the big cross ontop of the mountain - you can hike or ride the motorcycle called "habal-habal". Downtown Loboc, you can visit the 2nd oldest church, get on the floating restaurant and experience the hospitality they give you. The barangay Valladolid has the floating restaurant and so as the small NIPA HUT to spend the night. I know people from there. Then from Loboc, you can ride the jeepney or motorcycle to go to CARMEN, Bohol and see the famous and wonder of the chocolate Hills.

I am sure there is more to see in BOHOL than what I have mentioned above. TRUST ME! Bohol is beautiful.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!
