Where to go in phillipines on holiday?

We have booked a holiday to Philippines (Manila) in March 2011...we have never been to Philippines before and therefore don't know where the best places to stay are? We would like to be near coast and where it is safe and there is good shopping / markets

In Manila, staying along Roxas Boulevard, in any of the hotels, will satisfy your description " near coast, safe, good shopping". "Safe" is always relative, and everyone must take precautions anywhere in the world.

Now, if you want places outside of Manila, then you can review my blog and find the place that suits you well. I travel around the Philippines and write about places.

i want to go to the philippines for holiday?

i done some homework and what i got so far is...

flights from london to the philippines - £400 - £500

i found the imperial palace suites hotel in the Quezon city - 41 GBP per night

so I'm think about £500 for spending money, including food, drinks, and siteseeing, and night clubbing

is there anything missing. which is the closest airport from Quezon city and what is there to do in Quezon city such as siteseeing, beaches and is there any night clubs close to the imperial palace hotel

how much does beer and lagar cost in the nightclubs

take some trips out of the city, Subic Bay is about 2 hours away and has a range of activities and nightlife. Buses run frequently from Manila to Olongapo which is where subic Bay is
