Beach Resorts Palawan

beach resorts palawan"beach resorts palawan"
Know of not too expensive, clean, comfortable accommodations in El Nido Palawan?

Palawan beach resorts

There are "2 areas" to go to in Palawan.

The first and the obvious is via Puerto Princessa. This you can access via PAL or Super Ferry. From Puero Princessa, you can already go to numerous places: crocodile farm, the St. Paul Underground River, island hopping at Honda Bay, the former Vietnames refugee camp, then southward is a totally different trip like visiting the Tabon Caves, etc...

The other area has to be accessed differently bec. it is at the northernmost tip of Palawan, the Calamian Group of Islands. (check out a Philippine map--it's quite distant from Puerto Princessa)
AIR PHILIPPINES travels to Coron (Island in Calamian). But Calamian is cheapest to access via SuperFerry (leaves Manila pier Friday afternoon, you get there Saturday about 7am).If you take Superferry, be sure to be awake by around 6am to see the splendor of the limestone cliffs that becons. We had a grand weekend (2days) coming home Monday afternoon, I think this is cheapest from Manila. Same ship will sail to Puerto Princessa and it takes another 8hours or so.Come Sunday afternoon, this same ship sails back to Manila...
In the Calamianes, probably due to the geography of the group of islands, there's a weather phenomenon, some sort of a "squall" (quick rainpour then stop, leaving a quiet mist-filled surrounding). We experienced this and it was amazing.
In Busuanga, DIVE LINK RESORT is excellent. Limestone formations, pristine (as in) beaches, superb dive sites. The cleanest lake in the country is in Calamian. There is also a hotspring right in the middle of the water between the limestone cliffs. And another one tha't like a swimming pool in a shore somewhere. This area is "not accessible" from Puerto Princessa in the sense that it is quite distant w/ mountains and rough roads and it is an altogether different area.
In Popototan Island, the farthest island westward (of Palawan and the Philippines) is where Coral Bay Resort is.
A number of resort owners there are Europeans. One owner once told me his story, pretty much like the Bible's "parable of the lost treasure"-- he visited Palawan (Calamian), saw the beauty of the place, went back home, SOLD HIS BELONGINGS and went back to Palawan and bought a beachfront where he now runs his dive site.
The waters in the Calamianes are calm. just calm. excellent to island hop and even do watersports.
Just surf the website of AIR PHILIPPINES for flight details.

Note:DIVE LINK and CORAL BAY Resorts have a Manila Office.

Enjoy Palawan!

Why Philippines Girls Are Raised To Have Strong Moral Values?

The accepted term for Philippines girls is Filipinas. Females in this country have high moral and social values. Most are extremely well educated and obtaining a degree is something they strive for. They are encouraged, from a very young age, to perform well at school. It may surprise you to know that female enrollment at Philippine universities exceeds male enrollment.

This is the only Far East nation where Christianity is the mainstream religion. More than 80 percent of the people are Roman Catholic. Strong religious doctrines are taught to children and they are taken to church when they are very young. It is compulsory for Filipinas to be married in a Christian church.

Despite what many believe, Philippine women are not submissive. Perhaps the fact that they are polite and gently spoken makes people think otherwise. Most Filipinas are non-confrontational, understanding, and patient. They have been taught to behave in a lady-like fashion at all times.

Equally untrue is the myth that Philippines girls think they are inferior to men. As mentioned earlier, numerous women have graduated from university and have successful business careers. Furthermore, they do not feel bad if they earn a higher salary than a husband. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that a wife will put all her husband's needs and wishes first. Nevertheless, they are loving, caring, faithful and loyal wives.

Divorce is essentially illegal in the Philippines because marriage is believed to be a sanctimonious institution. As such, wives will do everything in their power to maintain stable and loving marriages. They are even prepared to forfeit their careers if necessary.

Even in the toughest of times, a Philippine woman will stand by and support her husband. However, if he is violent or abusive to her, she will have no hesitation in filing for an annulment. In such cases, there is a Family Code which enables a woman to apply for her marriage to be annulled. This would only be a last resort.

Philippines girls grow up to be good home-keepers and wonderful mothers. They are dedicated to teaching their children the same core values that they learnt as youngsters. You will find a Filipina's home tidy and clean with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Many are attracted to older men when looking for a husband because they offer financial security, are more mature, and unlikely to have an affair. In 40 percent of marriages, husbands are 10 years older than their wives.

Puerto Galera In Philippines

puerto galera in philippines_2"puerto galera in philippines"
Okay,so i'm going to Puerto Galera,Philippines.I need infos to those who went there?help will be appreciated.

give me like, places to visit, good hotels, and other comments.i'm really bored here in my home, and that's the only place i can go this summer(in my location),because later i'll have to study for college entrance exams.. :((

I also reccomend going to White Beach. I went last weekend, took a bus from Manila (2.5 hrs, 145 pesos but terrible traffic) and a boat from Batangas (280 pesos, 2 hours).
The other guy is right though, White Beach is very local, but very beutiful. I stayed four nights for 3,200 pesos, and for my entire trip only spendt 8,000 pesos including shopping.
There IS diving, although probably not as good as Northern Mindoro.

Disney World Vacations: 5 Reasons Why You Should Stay in a Disney World Resort Hotel

Deciding to take your family to Walt Disney World on vacation is only the first step. The next one is to think about where you would like to stay. Hotel options in Orlando are endless but there are several reasons why you should consider staying in an on site Disney World Resort hotel.

1. Experience the Disney magic

When the Imagineers built the Resort they didn't put all of the magic into the themeparks alone, each Resort hotel is an experience in itself. Whether you want to be whisked off to a Polynesian Isle at the Polynesian Resort, experience the grandeur of Victorian Florida at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or watch animals roaming the savannas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, no two hotels are the same, and they are unlike any hotel you'll stay in anywhere else in the world.

2. It's easy to get from A to B

As a Disney World guest you have access to the free Disney Transportation System to travel between the various hotels, themeparks, golf courses, water parks and the shopping village. Depending on your Resort hotel of choice you'll have access to busses, boats and even the monorail system.

You don't even need to worry about renting a car if you're flying in for your vacation. Disney's free Magical Express coach service will collect you and your luggage from the airport and transfer you to your Resort. Then when your vacation is over they'll take you back again in time for your flight.

3. Get entry into the park before the gates open

Resort guests are able to take advantage of DIsney World's Extra Magic Hours programme, which means on select days you can enter the parks one hour before the official opening, or stay for two or three hours after official closing. If you are travelling during off-peak season when the park opening hours are shorter this perk will allow you more time to experience your favourite attractions.

4. It's great for teenage guests

If you are travelling with teenagers then staying on site will allow you to give them a little bit of freedom. Because the hotels are linked to the parks by the transportation system you don't need to spend all of your time together as a family. The kids will be able to come and go as they please without relying on you and the car to ferry them around like they do back home.

5. It's perfect for taking afternoon breaks

Touring the parks can be tiring, especially in the heat of the summer months. Staying in a Disney World hotel makes it really easy to leave the parks during the afternoon and return back to your room for a nap. You can also take advantage of the Resort pool to cool off and refresh before heading back out to the parks in the evening.

What does the Philippines need ... to be a world class destination?

(the saudis are in the desert but they have the 7 star hotel and a ski resort complete with snow and they even have man made palm islands) I mean, couldn't any Pinoy think of something to put up to make the Philippines a place where foreigners consider us different in a nice way?
Edit:

ooops sorry my bad .. Emiratis not Saudis.
TY battgirl =)

Maybe this 7-star complex?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlMLHjWxcbQwX7OvUztRMyrsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080104212214AA9hH8C

First of all, stability of peace should be there because that is the foremost thing that scares tourist away despite the beauty of our natural wonders. My Arab friends travel around SouthEast Asia but some have deliberately avoided Philippines after a friend had packed his bags after spending one night in a Palawan resort and hearing a gun shot. It may be an isolated case but the idea of running into danger scares most of our potential tourists. Once we have established that our country is not dangerous, we have practically much to offer. Shopping and nature trips =)

EDIT: BGy, the Saudi's don't have the 7star hotel and indoor ski, it's the Emiratis, don't get confused =)

Apart-Hotels on Track to Overtake the Buy-to-Let Market

Beth Collingz, PLC Global Marketing Director of PLC International Marketing Networks, the lead marketing partners for Pacific Concord Properties Inc Lancaster Brand of Condo Hotels in the Philippines says Apart-hotels or Condotels as they are know locally are really growing in popularity among British and European investors. In the last two months alone we have sold a significant number of apart-hotel units both in the UK and Europe. Apart-hotels are an opportunity for investors to purchase into a new asset class with much higher yields than traditional buy-to-let properties.

The rental opportunity is achieved through a need for hotel accommodation, rather than residential letting markets. There are three key reasons why buyers are keen to invest in Apart-hotels or Condotels in the Philippines" Collingz continues, Firstly, it's a completely hands-off investment: the developer builds the hotel, and the management company runs it. Their job is to operate the hotel, maintain it and ensure maximum room occupancy and, as they receive a percentage of the nightly room rate, they are motivated to do so.

Secondly, because investors income is a percentage of the nightly, weekly or monthly room rate of the rental operations pool of all the units in the development rather than a monthly income from a single rented property, they are not exposed to substantial monthly deficits.

From a financial perspective, the income level compares favorably with traditional buy-to-let. Generally, expected income levels are sizeable 12-16% ROI per annum would not be unusual in a well-selected apart-hotel. If suggested income levels on a development are much below 10%, we would not consider promoting it as it would not represent a good investment opportunity for our clients said Collingz.

In the Philippines this form of investment seems set to outstrip the traditional buy-to-let rental market. At present, Metro Manila and regional towns such as Cebu, lack hotel rooms meaning that occupancy levels in any developments are likely to be high.

Most new investors in the Lancaster Suites Manila are established UK property investors who are looking for a UK product with a higher yield and no operating deficits. However, Apart-hotels are also attracting first time buyers looking to establish themselves on the property ladder whilst making yearly income as well.

Demand for apart-hotels is increasing as investors become more aware and better informed about the opportunities on offer. And whilst finding financing for overseas property has been difficult in the past, PCPI offers all buyers a no prequalification In-House 12 year payment plan with zero down payment, making the entry level open to may first time investors.

Lancaster - The Atrium, located in Shaw Boulevard, Metro Manila, is a "Full Service" Apart-Hotel ["Condotel"] offering Studio, One, Two and Three Bedroom Suites for sale. To be completed and ready for turnover from December 2010, Lancaster will provide unit owners with premier residential condo units with the option of enrolling their units in the Lancaster Rental Pool and earn Rental Incomes as Owner Non-Residents when not using their units. This makes Lancaster Manila, one of the Hottest Investment Opportunities in the Philippines said Collingz.

All units at the Lancaster Suites have kitchen facilities. The standard unit price provides for the suite to be semi-finished but not fully furnished. Included in the current price are the interior finishing's such as tiled & semi-fitted bathrooms, bedrooms with simulated wood plank flooring, semi-fitted living and dining area with simulated wood plank floorings and lower kitchen cabinets/work tops installed. Walls and ceilings are painted cement finish. A complete optional extra interior fit-out package including unit fittings and fixtures, furniture's, furnishings, air-conditioning, lighting fixtures and appliances will be available towards the time the units are closer to being completed continued Collingz.

Boracay Island Resort in Phillipines

I was captivated by several respected travel magazines claiming that Boracay island resort in the Philippines has one of the best beaches in the world, I wasted no time in traveling to this island resort to experience what many claimed is a tropical island paradise.

Boracay is a lush tropical tourist resort island about 200 miles south of Philippine's capital Manila and is about slightly more than a mile off the northwest of Panay in the West Visayas province. Because of its acclaimed publicity of being home to some of the best beaches in the world, Boracay island resort is naturally one of the Philippine's most popular tourist attraction.

The island is made up by the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak and is under the administration of the Philippine Tourism Authority. A barangay is also known by its former name, the barrio and is the smallest local government unit in Philippines. The word is a Tagalog term for a village or constituency.

Boracay island was originally the home of the Ati tribe before it became a major tourist attraction. Not surprisingly, the word Boracay is derived from words Bora which means 'bubble' and Bukay means 'white sand'. However, the sand on the main island is not as white as I have expected due to too many tourists and pollutions. Then again, if you visit some of the nearby islands and you will be fascinated by how white the sands on the beaches can be.

Boracay is part of Aklan Province and it was only in the 1970s that tourism industry started to develop. The main tourism beaches on the island are the White Beach and the Bulabog Beach both of which are located on diametrically opposite sides of the island's central area with the White Beach facing towards the west and Bulabog Beach facing east. Of course, Boracay also have several other beaches as well.

White Beach is well known for its white powdery sand and hence its name. The beach is slightly over 4 km long (2 miles) and is populated with numerous beach resorts, hotels, restaurants and shops catering to the needs of tourists staying in the area.

Incidentally, Borocay has more than 300 beach resorts with more than 2,000 rooms ranging from stylish five-star hotels and resorts to budget accommodations for backpackers. Golfers will be delighted to know that Boracay is home to a world-class 18-hole par 72 golf course.

Bulabog Beach, across the island from White Beach is a secondary tourism beach. This beach is a favorite location for windsurfing and kiteboarding because of its seasonal strong winds for these activities.

When is the best time to visit Boracay? Well, you can visit Boracay anytime, however some visitors may wish to visit the island resort for different purposes.

Catch the spectacular world-famous Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival in January. This festival is Philippine's version of the Mardi Gras which is celebrated on the third week of every January.

If you just want to enjoy the beaches and the sea, then visit Boracay during the 'Amihan' season. This is during northeast monsoon season in the months of March to May when trade wind is at its strongest which is very suitable for activities like sailing, big game fishing, scuba diving, wind surfing and kite-boarding.

The months of June to September are considered off-peak season, however budget conscious tourists and backpackers consider this as the best time to visit Boracay as prices for everything are at its lowest and there are few competition for that precious white sand beach turf to plonk yourself on to enjoy the sun.

October marks the beginning of another peak season. As from October to December, the weather is cool and major sports events are usually held at this time of the year.

If you are thinking of taking a vacation holiday in the Philippines, do head for the tropical paradise island of Boracay.

Philippines Best Resorts

philippines best resorts_4"philippines best resorts"
me and my BF are planning to have a vacation in the philippines on APRIL..?

anyone here who knows best resorts/ hotels we can visit?

What do you want to do there?
If you just want to sit on a beach then go to Boracay or one of the other tourist beaches. If you actually want to see the Philippines and maybe meet some real Philippino people then go to somewhere like Manila for a few days.

For my next trip there I'm going to Cebu and then I'm going to do some island hopping around the Cebu area. I'm going to mix up some city visits with some beach holidays.
