Where is the best place in Bali to snorkel/scuba dive?

I have never been scuba diving but would love to try it and I love snorkeling. What company should I go with and where about?

Go to yahoo.ca or google.ca

and type "Bali scuba diving programs" or something like that, and that could help you for more info.

Surf the websites to see if any's relevant to what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

Which dive center and liveaboard in Phuket is popular?

Two suggestions:

- If budget is not an issue I would highly recommend Mermaid Liveaboards at http://www.mermaid-liveaboards.com

- If your looking for something a little more budget conscious then I'd say you won't go far wrong with Scuba Cat at http://www.scubacat.com Depending on when your actually looking for the liveaboard these guys are one of the only centers to offer a liveaboard still now during the 'Green Season' or low season as most of the other liveaboard/dive centers boats are either moored up for the season or are off cruising round Indonesia as the similans are not a pleasant place to be on a boat this time of year. Their low season liveaboard stays out at Racha Yai.

Liveaboard Diving

What's the place you most liked to dive, in Indonesia?

I'm interested in all types of diving - wall, hard and soft coral, photography, night, liveaboard, shore, etc. Thanks!

Indonesia is one of the diving paradise. I've been to all around the beautiful islands and never got myself disappointed because they are totally amazing.

I've been dived in Bunaken, Manado. It takes about 2 hours by plane from Jakarta. The view under the sea is awesome and the diving operators are professional as there are so many local tourists and international tourists spend their time diving in the spectacular scenery of Bunaken.

I also went to Komodo National park where it's still pure and original. Most of Indonesian don't know much that this place is even more wonderful to dive in than in Bunaken. Only a few people or tourists who knows the existence of this beautiful island. There are plenty of islands so you can choose where to dive! This is the second most beautiful place to dive in Indonesia for me.

The first most beautiful spot to dive in Indonesia is Raja Ampat in Papua. It is located in the east part of Indonesia and it's soooooo outstanding. I can't describe how amazing it is when I dive into the sea and seeing the clear water with lotsa colors corals and swimming with fishes. Only true travelers who know this place because it's less popular than other diving spot. I believe once you come to Raja Ampat, you would never ever left the island. It's so peace and quiet, mingle with the local Papua people is such an extremely huge experience you'll never get in any other place because they are so unique and kind.

Any other place to dive is in Lombok (too much tourists), Tanjung Bira in South Sulawesi, Taka Bonerate in South Sulawesi.

Enjoy your experience! Be safe :)
