Philippine Beach Resort

philippine beach resort_5"philippine beach resort"
If I build a camping resort, would other foreigners come to it?

I intend to build near the ocean with my fruit tree farm on one side of the road and rent tents to campers on the ocean side, near or on the beach.
It has nearly white sand and is very nice.
I am building a round swimming pool with a water slide on it and will provide U.S. meals and Philippine food as well.
I will also have a convenience store, barber, driver/car, boat tours and several other features set up.
If anyone can think of anything I missed, please let me know, as I want this as nice as possible.
Oh, and it will be in Bohol, very quiet, clean and safe.
What is a cabana?
Fishing trips can be arranged and the showers/toilets are included in the septic plans.
Maybe personal sized sailing craft would be nice for the more adventurous.

yes. 3 things most tourist are looking for: 1. beach 2. ecotourism 3. culture. 1. you have the beach, good start. 2. bohol is great for eco-tourism, be sure to highlight any nearby sites, such as chocolate hills, reefs, nature parks, etc. 3. culture, provide tourists with some overview of local culture, maybe a nipa hut to serve as a mini-museum with artifacts, and quick history lesson on the local native tribe, native dress, dance, etc.. (if any of this history remains preserved).

provide tourguides to local eco tourism and cultural sites.

provide electric fan and nice airmattress or cot in each tent. advirtise this, and especially the pool and beach on any advertisements. you may also want to emphasize that the campites have full shade, another important feature that seasoned campers look forl

rather than try to offer 'american style meals' simply offer a few easy to cook western items on the menu, such as hamburgers, hotdogs, french fries, pizza, etc..

vacation to Cebu --> pocket money?

Hey =]...

I haven't been to the Philippine for almost 7 years now, and im planning to go back to Cebu this summer, and i'll be staying there for about 5 to 6 weeks.... Is 1000 canadian dollars (around 41, 500 PHP) enough for a pocket money? or is it lacking?

~I dont have to worry about where i'm staying because we still have houses there (so i'm deff. not spending my money there..) but i am planning to stay at a couple of resorts for a couple of days (i.e. Plantation bay/Shrangri-La or Cebu beach club)
~I'm planning to go to bohol/bantayan and manila
~I dont plan to eat out everyday but i do plan to eat a lot =D
~and of course, most of the money is going towards shopping

So is the money enough... if not. can anyone estimate how much should i bring?

Thanks =D

if you go to plantation bay or shangrila it will rip out your pocket. one night itself in plantation bay is almost P8000 a night and thats the cheapest room and thats not including meals or any water sport activities. The meals sooo expensive and I paid dollars when I went there. Seriously for one meal is like almost p1000. The hotdog was the cheapest P250 hehe. Anyway, shangrila is about the same price. Its only worth it if you bring lots of money :)
If you go to Manila 41,500 is nothing, youll spend your money there like water so becareful.
Im going to the Philippines next month and cebu, bohol, cagayan and camiguin are my destinations. Im not even going to Manila cause too expensive just stopping by cause my plane stops there lol. I'm bringing $3500 with me thats P148,750 and my parents have vacation homes there too. Im bringing a lot because Im staying over there for 1 month & I want to do lots of shopping :) You should really bring at least 3500 canadian dollars to really really enjoy your vacation! You can bring less but you going to have to limit yourself!!!Its always better to bring more just incase.
I went to philippines last year for 3 weeks and I havent been there for 6 yrs & 1 month, I only brought P73,500 and I was shocked of how expensive it was in the Philippines not like the old days. My parents covered me most of the time :) so i was safe:)

Have a good trip!! Enjoy!

Philippine Beach Resort

philippine beach resort_6"philippine beach resort"
planning a trans philippine tour from n. luzon to visayas, can you suggest any point of interest?

ill be a long bus trip covering all posible points of interest.
things we would like to cover 1. authentic fiestas 2. major religious ceremonies 3. points to interest such as major tourist spots, indeginous natives, major accomplishment spots. 4. major resorts. 5. tourist spots, both known and "you have to see this" stuff 6. beach spots.

thanks

You didn't mention what dates your trip will cover, so it's kinda hard to tell you particular areas that will be having fiestas and major religious ceremonies since they happen at different times of the year. For major tourist spots in Northern Luzon, I can recommend Baguio and Sagada. These areas are near each other and have a rich ethnic tradition that is unique to the areas. For beaches, there is Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, the dive spots like Honday Bay and El Nido resort in Palawan. A must see in Palawan is the underground cave. For historical sites, visit Fort Santiago and the many attractions in Intramuros in Manila, and Vigan in Ilocos Sur.

In the Visayas, beaches are as plentiful as ever. I'm sure you've heard of Boracay. Other island resorts worth visiting are Mactan Island in Cebu and Panglao Island in Bohol (another great dive site). Bohol is home to the Chocolate Hills and the tarsier, the smallest primate in the world.
