scuba diving trip_2"scuba diving trip" Can I learn to scuba dive in one day?
This may seem like a dumb question but when I looked this up it sounds like a PADI certificate is required in order to scuba dive. So I am just wondering if it is possible to go on just a one day scuba diving trip and never do it again or if you have to be certified for the opportunity to just try it out.
Go to a resort in Cozumel (or most any other dive destination) and you can get a "Resort Course" in scuba. This takes about an hour.
You then get to go diving, but have a divemaster at your side for the dive.
Most divers, including myself, scorn this type of practice. The details of scuba are mostly safety practices. Many things can go wrong during a dive and a simple "Resort Course" simply cannot prepare you.
Personally, I would not be willing to put myself at such a risk. But, it's your choice.
A full course in scuba can be completed in a weekend with the bookwork done ahead of time. And only costs $150. Time well spent!

Your service provider should provide the equipments for the scuba diving tour
Scuba diving is one activity that requires some sophisticated, yet commonly available, gears and equipments. The most primary among them is self-contained, high pressure containers that supply you with oxygen for breathing while you remain underwater for long. Without them you will not be able to get much deep inside. These containers are connected to quality breathing apparatus and are strapped on to your back while you are enjoying scuba diving trips underwater. The other paraphernalia includes wet suites, gloves, underwater goggles, hoods, ear caps, etc. While having your own gear will be a great idea, it is a more economical and feasible to ask your service providers to arrange for the same.
Knowledge, certification and course
Many scuba diving destinations like Mexico require that the enthusiasts undergo a simple training session. At the end of this sessions and briefing they become certified scuba divers. But, this is not a major impediment. These sessions are quite easy and aim at checking your physical vitality, swimming skills and acquaint you with the nuances of scuba diving. So, do make sure that your undergo them and venture underwater after getting due certifications.
