Sunset Beach Villas Exclusive Tropical Island

ABOUT TABLAS

After a year of thorough research we came to the conclusion that the best investment opportunities in the Philippines come together on the island of Tablas (Romblon). Tablas is completely different from the rest of the Philippines, still undiscovered and sleepy.

Making good profit is a matter of "getting in on the ground floor of development activity" on Tablas Island, which is very soon to boom.

Why wait until the ‘Big Developers' build expensive retirement villages?

We - the retirees - can do that much cheaper ourselves, and make it exactly as we prefer.

Why wait until the 'Big Developers' occupy the best beach lots? We have seen this in Boracay where the price of some beach lots have increased a hundredfold.

Boracay? Or Tablas?

About 1 Million tourist visit Boracay every year; "sun, sand and party" 24/7.
But where do you go to escape the 'karaoke terror'?

How about Tablas Island? It's only 30 minutes by speedboat. Or take an airplane.
There you will find this:

About one million tourists per year are visiting Boracay but there is no room for expansion anymore so investors are now looking at Tablas Island to develop a golfcourse, a horse stable, an aqua sports facility, beach resorts and other world-class developments where tourists can escape the 'Sun, Sand and Party' of Boracay and enjoy the quietness of nature as it should be...

Yes, Boracay is an exciting, 24-hour karaoke, bar and restaurant "cool" place to be and to be seen (especially by the young). However, for a quiet, idyllic retirement spot within your retirement budget? Absolutely not!

We all know Boracay; beautiful beach. About 1 Million tourists per year. But it's full now...
So it is time to expand...

The government just started to make an International Airport at Caticlan (5 minutes South-East of Boracay).

Boracay is full now so we do not expect much activity there in the future.
For expansion we could look at Carabao Island (San Jose town) which is 10 minutes North of Boracay and foreign investors have plans to build a 'Second Boracay' there.

That's nice, but prices of real estate are already skyrocketing because of that news; and it will have the same future as Boracay ('Sun, Sand and Party').

Now look at the island of Tablas (30 minutes by speed-boat, North-East of Boracay); it has an airport, the same beaches as Boracay, lots are cheap, and most important; it's quiet. Far from the "karaoke terror". Fresh air. Some locations adopt the 'zero waste and zero pollution policy'. Koreans have built new roads around the island.

Make your move before the "Boracay Effect" washes upon the shores of Tablas. Prices of real estate are still low.

what is the cheapest hotels or beach resorts in Cebu Philippines that has a pool at least?

The previous poster mentioned Villa Terisita. At P400 per night in a dorm room, it would be the cheapest place I know with a pool. In fact it has about 5 swimming pools. The main pool has a huge double water slide. It is a very pleasant place to go for the day for a picnic. It is in Talisay City and is about 30 minutes drive from the centre of Cebu City, depending on traffic. Standard rooms start at P800 per night for a double. The website is here

Also in Talisay City is Aqua Cainta. I have no website but in 2004, it was about P600 per night for a small cottage. It is probably double that now. It has a triple water slide in the main pool and and is a pleasant place to go for the day for a picnic. You pass Aqua Cainta on the way to Villa Terisita.

Tubod Flowing waters was also mentioned. Prices start at P1200 per night for a double. It is situated in Minglanila and is up to an hour from the centre of Cebu City, depending on traffic. It is a water wonderland and a nice place to go for a picnic for the day. The main pool has a large double waterslide. The website is here

In Cebu City

Mango Park Hotel has a promo rate of P1750 per night for a double. They have a pool on the roof.

Metro Park Hotel has rooms as low as P1200 per night for a double. However, the website says the pool is under renovation until the end of March

If you want to get a good deal on resorts on Mactan island. try Asiatravel.com
http://asiatravel.com/cebu.html
I see that Tambuli is only usd $50 per night. It is a nice resort on Mactan Island and will probably be the best value for money resort available.
