Consistently, job ads from the cyberservices sector have been growing at double-digit rates from its base in June in the last five months, an indication of the growth in job creation in the sector.
The education sector in the Philippines produce about 400,000 graduates every year which is higher compared to the other Asian countries. For the industry to grow into a million workers by 2010, the industry needs to recruit an average of 200,000 additional workers each year, a figure some industry experts say is probably not achievable. Even if the industry achieves half that target, recruiting about 100,000 new workers each year for the industry would mean that a significant number will have to come from career shifters. To achieve this goal, many call center and BPO companies designed specific programs for their employees to stay on the business. These graduates produce every year can speak English and have fair level of competency to be employed easily in a call center in the Philippines.

What are Dive Computer Algorithms? The dive computer is used to calculate your maximum dive time which allows for a longer and safer dive. The dive computer as took over from the dive table as the diving tool to calculate all your necessary parameters to enjoy scuba diving.
Dive computers use algorithms to calculate these safe diving limits. They will make adjustments for both fast tissue groups and slow tissue groups. It uses this information to estimate the nitrogen in your body. Based on the amount of time you've been submerged and your depth, from this the computer then calculates how much longer you can safely remain underwater.
Different Type of Algorithms Algorithms vary by model from each manufacturer and only a few algorithms are actually used. Some algorithm used may also be a modification of an existing algorithm. When you want to consider buying your next dive computer, the main feature to look at is the algorithm that the air decompression limit monitor uses.
Algorithms with different manufactures use some varying factors in their algorithms such as mentioned with fast and slow tissue groups. The solubility, permeability, and blood contact for a given tissue, say for example a kidney, is called a "tissue compartment or tissue group." Dive computers use these "tissue compartments" to simulate the effect of a gas on your body at depth. The more "tissue compartments" a computer measures, the more accurate (theoretically) the computer can gauge the effect of a dive on your body. 9 to 12 compartments is fairly standard, but a few consumer models have 16 or more.
Here are four of the main algorithms used for dive computers:
Group 1: Haldane/Spencer Algorithm The Haldane/Spencer model uses test results from PADI's Diving Science and Technology and was developed by Rogers and Powell. Within their algorithm they use 12 separate tissue compartments. Oceanic and Sherwood use this algorithm model for their dive computers.
Group 2: Modified Haldanian Algorithm This algorithm model was used by Mares and is based on nine tissue compartments. Now the latest Mares dive computers use the Reduced Gradient Bubble Model.
Group 3: Suunto Reduced Gradient Bubble Algorithm This model is based in part on work by Wienke and Hamilton and uses nine tissue compartments. Suunto were the first to use the RGDM and now other manufactures are starting to use it too. The big difference of this algorithm is they consider micro bubbles that are in the blood stream as a result of nitrogen build up. The theory was they consider that these micro bubbles are a precondition of larger bubbles which can lead to DCS.
Group 4: Uwatec Buehlmann ZH-L8 ADT Algorithm and the ZH-L8 ADT MB. This algorithm model uses eight tissue compartments and has been recently updated with two additional letters, the Buhlmann adaptive model has been expanded to be called the ZH-L8 ADT MB which stands for micro bubble. This algorithm is used by Uwatec and Scubapro.
Short fall of Algorithms Algorithms may not be able to account for age, previous injury, ambient temperature, body type, alcohol consumption/dehydration, and patent foramen ovale(hole in the heart).
Which Algorithm is the best? Removing of factors like cost, looks, other features etc then the more "tissue compartments" a computer measures, the more accurate (theoretically) the computer can gauge the effect of a dive on your body. 9 to 12 compartments are fairly standard nowadays, but a few dive computers are now using 16 compartments.
Even if two algorithms have the same results, manufactures will add there own factor of safety so they can set there dive computers to aggressive or conservative. An aggressive computer gives more bottom time than a conservative dive computer, and it's wise to understand the properties of one's own dive computer to ensure it fits the skill and comfort level expected.

Investment Opportunities with Condotels in the Philippines
The buyers are investors in hotel-condos, a real estate product that combines the flexibility of ownership of a condo in ahotel setting. Popular in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, hotel-condos are just starting to pop up in the Philippines for the first time. Unlike simple condominiums -- which owners can use as they please -- hotel-condo units are both investment and residential units that can be used by their owners for up to 30 days per year. The plus is that the owners can invest in real estate while having access to hotel amenities like a spa, gym, room services. The remaining time, the units' owners return the rooms to a rentable pool run by the hotel. As the units are rented out, the owners receive a split of the income. Alternatively, unit owners can live permanently in their suites and enjoy hotel living 365 days a year.
One such project recently announced, with Pacific Concord Properties Inc -- among the first developers to do a hotel-condo in Metro Manila -- submitting plans to build a 42-story twin high-rise at Shaw Boulevard, will be called Lancaster Suites - The Atrium.
The Lancaster Atrium is a twin tower development that sits on a common podium with the Lancaster Suites Tower I, which was sold out in less than 18 months and is part of its hotel-condo program.
Beth Collingz, Marketing director for PLC International Marketing Networks, which is exclusively marketing the Lancaster Suites and Lancaster Suites - The Atrium Hotel Condominiums in Metro Manila, said condotels started appearing on the market following PCPI's launch of the Lancaster Suites back in 2004. We see a marked increase of interest from buyers who live Europe as well as from corporations looking to invest in Philippine real estate. There have been a plethora of residential properties coming on the market, but not many Condo Hotel developments adding that, in the currently hot Philippine real estate market no one felt the need to try out a product that had not been tested in the country before."
The market for investment properties has shifted in part because of a booming demand for hotel rooms in Metro Manila and a weak dollar internationally. On a broader scale, baby boomers are retiring and buying second and third homes, and interest in real estate as an investment remains strong, when it comes to the market for hotel-condos, the Lancaster project is attracting international customers familiar with this type of investment opportunity. Collingz said The Lancaster Atrium Tower A development will have 450 hotel-condo rooms and suites, a spa, swimming pool, business center, its own mini mall, shops and convenience stores and several restaurants. The project, located atop a common podium with Lancaster Suites Tower I is only one block from the Ortigas Center, Shangri-La Mall, Edsa Plaza Hotel and SM Mega Mall, will continue construction of its superstructure this year having already completed foundation works and put in place 5-levels of basement parking.

Guided with a clear goal of maximizing profitability, LHLPI will spearhead the management of the condotel as well as that of the entire condominium building.

Friday’s Beach Resort to open branch in Puerto Galera
Friday’s Boracay Beach Resort, a world-renowned premiere resort nestled on Boracay’s pristine white beach, is now expanding to help boost tourism in the Philippines. With its recent ground breaking and construction of the resort-hotel at Boquete Beach in the lagoons of Puerto Galera, Friday’s Puerto Galera is expected to open next year catering to foreign and local clients, with the first 18 rooms to be opened to loyal clients before the December holiday period.
The Fridays Boquete Beach at Puerto Galera was designed to have 75 rooms, with spa and idyllic carefree resort features, and most importantly, conforming to indigenous design and environmentally blended architecture, once fully completed at end 2010. Boulevard Holdings Inc. appointed the same world class architects from the Maldives, who have listed Conde Nast Traveler ranked properties such as the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa Resort Hotel of 120 rooms at Kuda Hura’a Atoll Maldives and many more, as some of their projects.
Friday’s Boracay and Friday’s Boquete Beach resorts are owned and developed by Boulevard Holdings Inc. Just recently, BHI disclosed the sale of 100% of its interest in Alliance Technologies Corporation (ATC) and Avrion Systems, Inc. (ASI), old information technology (IT) industry players in the telecommunications equipment business for contact centers and enterprises. The company declared that Alliance Technologies Corporation and Avrion Systems, Inc. would no longer be connected with the hotel, property and investment holding company.
BHI Chairman, Jose Marcel Panlilio said that, “We are mindful that our board directors, investors and clients have recognized the value of investment and concentration in the resort hotel business.Selling ATC and ASI is a major decision and a challenge that we have to face. With the current economic crisis, the company decided to invest in something that will help the country boost tourism and gain premium profits as well. The yield is better.”
The company expects to add to overall sales with the full opening of Fridays Boquete Beach at Puerto Galera at the end of 2010. According to Mrs. Nicole Morris, Sr. Adviser to Fridays Resorts, “There have already been many pre-bookings for the Fridays Puerto Galera unit from our loyal client lists of 29,000 repeat guests from the Fridays Boracay Resort. We are hopeful with the right execution of the project we shall deliver.”
BHI also estimates the employment of 220 people for Friday’s Puerto Galera, tourism being deemed as an alternative to help fight unemployment in the country. With this, Panlilio remarked, “Resort developers like us and many others, for as long as they continue to do sensible and environmentally blended resorts and resort destination infrastructure, while getting their economic payback, will help the country ease its way out of the global slump and temporary tourism decline.”

I,m visiting bohol for a few weeks in march to see my girlfriend there and we would like to take a intruductory scuba course to go on simple easy dive there,what might that cost? . . i had scuba certifcation 25 years ago and she is totally new to it
Not sure on the price, but if she is a Filipina then have her negotiate a price with the instructor without it even known that you are with her. The moment you show up in the picture, their price will go up but if they already told her a price they wont be able to change it after the fact. The 50-60 ballpark seems fairly reasonable, but of course always start your offer lower than that so you have some room in the negotiations.
