2. Do away from cigarette smoke
Sometimes I was enticed to smoke when I smell the cigarette smoke especially in public places. What I did, I leave the place immediately and look for a place where no one smokes. I did this routine for more than six months. After this period, I can already mingle with people who smoke without being enticed with their smoke. I already passed through the critical period of adjustment.
3. Keep busy
When I feel like smoking, I see to it that I have to do something to make myself busy. I used to do heavy work like cutting grasses, lifting heavy loads, jogging in place, or anything that will let me perspire heavily. When I perspire heavily, I am relieve dfrom the craving for cigarette.
4. Drink plenty of water or fruit juice
After perspiring from my physical activities stated in number 3, I drink plenty of water or fruit juice whatever is available to the maximum. Water is the number one body cleansing. I felt I was totally relieved after drinking water. When there is a fresh fruit juice I take it to replace water. Most often I drink more water than fruit juice. 5. Think positive
Thinking positive, what I mean, is I always imagine and focus on the positive side of things. I don't bother myself looking back at the bad experiences I encountered during my period of addiction with cigarette smoking. I always do things that has no connection whatsoever with cigarette. When suddenly cigarette craving comes to my mind, I immediately change course to erase it. Doing things to while away the time to forget cigarette related attention.
6. Eat fruits and vegetables
This is my secret to forget cigarette smoking. I always maintain to have fruit or vegetable with my diet. If there is no fruit available during lean months, I used to eat plenty of vegetables in one setting. Sometimes I'll combine three or five vegetables in one cooking, any kind of vegetable available around I have to used them.
7. Self Discipline
I always hold through to my decision to quit smoking. No amount of enticement or seduction could break my personal decision from my friends who are smokers. During social gatherings or simple get together, I could not escape to mingle with smokers. But, because of my strong belief not to smoke again, I strictly adhere to my decision to be non-smoker, and I can withstand the strong pressure. To me, that's self discipline.
8. Ask Divine Help
Believe me, whatever sect do you belong, I know you agree that there is an Almighty God that intervenes our lives. For me being a Christian, totally believe that Divine help reinforces my desire to stop smoking. When cravings for cigarette sets in, I closed my eyes and pray to God that I may be strong enough to resist temptation. And it really works.
If you're serious to stop smoking, I encourage you to follow what I did. There's no need of any medical help. Just stick to what you believe can do away with cigarette smoking.
Give yourself a try what I've done.
If I've done it, and so you can do it too. Just be determined and don't stop until you achieve what you desires!

This may seem like a dumb question but when I looked this up it sounds like a PADI certificate is required in order to scuba dive. So I am just wondering if it is possible to go on just a one day scuba diving trip and never do it again or if you have to be certified for the opportunity to just try it out.
Go to a resort in Cozumel (or most any other dive destination) and you can get a "Resort Course" in scuba. This takes about an hour.
You then get to go diving, but have a divemaster at your side for the dive.
Most divers, including myself, scorn this type of practice. The details of scuba are mostly safety practices. Many things can go wrong during a dive and a simple "Resort Course" simply cannot prepare you.
Personally, I would not be willing to put myself at such a risk. But, it's your choice.
A full course in scuba can be completed in a weekend with the bookwork done ahead of time. And only costs $150. Time well spent!

In 1944, about 24 Japanese supply ships had tried to take refuge and cover in the islands to escape attacking US fighter planes. These ships, meant to reinforce the Japanese grip in the country then, were unfortunately detected by US recons or intelligence. The planes of Task Force 38 have managed to sink most of these giant ships. Now they can be admired under water, where they have lied for sixty years. Fourteen wrecks are known spots, and they are all in reachable depths. Most of these are between 100 - 200 meters. The only handicap can be the visibility at many of the wrecks but these can be predicted by the guides by looking at the moon. It is definitely a travel story of travel stories.
Today these ships have become coral reefs, maintaining a structure for a sea ecosystem that is both impressive and wonderful. Life is abundant, with anemones, small fishes, rays, starfish and seahorses. I've been having a hard time finding information on this. I am an American and next year I will be marrying my fiancée, who is Filipino. We were planning on me living in the Philippines with him. Would me marrying him, give me Philippine citizenship, or do I still need to get some kind of visa?
I am thinking you question isn't as deep as people are answering below, because you might not want to immediately become a Citizen. No you will not automatically become a Filipino citizen.
The only benefit to being a citizen is that you can own land that you pay for, otherwise it will be in your husbands name with you as his spouse. Otherwise, this is such an open country that you will feel like a citizen just being in his hometown with his family. Philippines is a beautiful place.

When you are married to a Filipino, you ( and your children ) automatically get a 1 year Balikbayan visa at the airport. It is NOT multiple entry, and you can only get it when travelling together with your Filipino spouse. You get a new one each time you enter together. Even your husband is travelling on a US passport, he just needs his NSO certified birth certificate or Philippine passport ( even expired ) and you need your marriage certificate. You also need to ask at the immigration desk or they will just give you the 21 day visa.
And I think you also have to eat Chicken Joy or Yum with Cheese ( burger ) at Jollibee at least once a week to become a citizen.

Here are the itinerary I usually recommend : Day 1 - ferry cebu/bohol. a staff will meet and guide you for bohol day tour on chocolate hills, baclayon church, tarsier, man made forests, hinagdanan cave, blood compact, hanging bridge, loboc river cruise with buffet lunch, bee farm. check in at Dumaluan resort.
Day 2 - breakfast at the resort. Free time (can do island hopping, snorkeling, whale watching etc....)
day 3 - breakfast at the resort. swimming. check out and transfer to pier (take the 2nd or the last trip going to cebu).

John, it has nothing to do with work visas.
The OP is Filipino, Filipinos require Visas to visit Japan as temporary visitors (tourists), because unlike Australia, Japan and the Philippines do not have a visa-waiver agreement with each other so they must apply for a Temporary Visitor visa (tourist visa).
Therefore in order for a Filipino person wanting to visit Japan, a visa application needs to be filed, attached with the application must be an "Invitation Letter" from a guarantor in Japan.
It is best if the OP contacts the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines for more appropriate advice. In general, YES you would need one.

If you plan to visit El Nido, then you need to stay for a longer time. Daily buses depart at San Jose Terminal in Puerto Princesa for El Nido at these times: 7:30 and 9:00 AM (same departure times for El Nido to Puerto Princesa).
