Philippine Travel Package

philippine travel package_3"philippine travel package"
Is it really necessary to have a guarantor in Japan if you are a Filipino applying for a Japanese visa?

I don't know anyone in Japan but I want to travel there.

I don't want to acquire a package because it is too short. I want to have a vacation there with my own schedule.

I heard that if you don't have a guarantor in Japan, most likely your visa application will get denied. Is it really necessary?

Help! =(

John, it has nothing to do with work visas.

The OP is Filipino, Filipinos require Visas to visit Japan as temporary visitors (tourists), because unlike Australia, Japan and the Philippines do not have a visa-waiver agreement with each other so they must apply for a Temporary Visitor visa (tourist visa).

Therefore in order for a Filipino person wanting to visit Japan, a visa application needs to be filed, attached with the application must be an "Invitation Letter" from a guarantor in Japan.

It is best if the OP contacts the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines for more appropriate advice. In general, YES you would need one.
