Boracay Cebu

boracay cebu"boracay cebu"
i'm single 56-and going on vacation soon--they tell me to stay away from the philippines-boracay or cebu -?

becqause of the rape scams and so forth?--is that true?-was thinking of thailand to, pattaya or puket--which would be safer--and a better choice--if i'm looking to meet local ladys--and lots of nightlife?--iv'e chatted to alot of philippine ladys -and seen them on my cam--some for over 6-months--is it better to meet 1-of them there that iv'e meet on the net?--or take my chances-in the philippines--or thailand?--how about chiang mai?---------

Your concern is false rape accusations and other scams? Sad to say, but the same thing happens in the USA, credible studies find over 90% of rape accusations are false. Almost all 'date rape' accusations are malicious, and intended to harm or extort someone. As for casual dating, there is a greater chance of meeting a scammer online, no different from online dating in the usa. if your serious about a relationship, online dating could be good for you, millions meet thier mate online now-a-days. if you are very nieve, novice, and want to try casual dating scene for the first time, you should stick with the nicer go go bars, imho. the go go bars represent a substantial investment in the reputation of the bar to have nice, honest girls, and are unlikely to allow any of the scams you are worried about. most scams involve rolling drunks, by women or girls posing as street hookers. keep your head on straight and you should be OK, in general just don't interact with anyone you meet on the street in a red light area in the middle of the night, especially hookers or beggars, and duck into a bar or shop to avoid them. You will be safer in the go go bars, mamasan will take your hand and introduce you to a very nice girl of your dreams.. try not to get your heart broken, and always remember to be very kind and generous with the delightful ladies that you will meet. Many, if not most, filipina bargirls have had fewer boyfriends or STDs than a typical US college age girl. Remember that most filipinos make under $2 a day, and it is customary for a foriegn guy to pay for everything, and let her keep the change if you send her shopping.

Which dive center and liveaboard in Phuket is popular?

Two suggestions:

- If budget is not an issue I would highly recommend Mermaid Liveaboards at http://www.mermaid-liveaboards.com

- If your looking for something a little more budget conscious then I'd say you won't go far wrong with Scuba Cat at http://www.scubacat.com Depending on when your actually looking for the liveaboard these guys are one of the only centers to offer a liveaboard still now during the 'Green Season' or low season as most of the other liveaboard/dive centers boats are either moored up for the season or are off cruising round Indonesia as the similans are not a pleasant place to be on a boat this time of year. Their low season liveaboard stays out at Racha Yai.

Best places and ways to travel within Australia and New Zealand?

Hello,
A friend and I are planning to travel to Australia, New Zealand and one other country for three weeks. The other country would be Bali, Thailand, Fiji or Tahiti. We will be there from mid-December to mid-January. We are there as a graduation gift to ourselves and would be there on a budget. We are wanting to do some surfing, scuba diving, snorkling, hiking and of course sightseeing. We would like to know what are the best places to do these things. We would like to stay away from tourist traps. We are also wanting to know what airports and cities would be best to fly in and out of. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tahiti is expensive. it is French so prices are so so much higher than bali or Thailand. You would be in NZ and Australia during the peak season school holidays so accomodation prices will be expensive unless you plan in staying in Back packer hostels. It may pay to book ahead if you know where you will be. I would suggest you have a few days in Sydney on your way to New Zealand or the Gold Coast you can fly into Brisbane for the Gold Coast it's 1 hour by train. I dont know if you want to hire a car in NZ that is the best way and if you can fly into Auckland and out of Queenstown that would be very good. Look at www.airnewzealand.co or www.jetstar.com.au

2011 Affiliate Programs - Changes in Affiliate Programs for 2011

Affiliate programs have been very successful since quite some time now and in 2011 these programs will still be strong. Read on to learn about a few changes that might happen in this industry.

The 2011 affiliate programs will continue to be just as popular as they had been for all these years. However, over the years the expectations and the needs of people have changed and in order to keep up with the trends the affiliate companies too have to come up with a few changes of their own. Affiliate marketers who have been in the business for quite some time now have several predictions about this industry which have been listed below:

Blogging and Affiliate Marketing
For 2011 affiliate programs, blogging is one of the biggest venues to market. More bloggers will try to monetize their blogs by using affiliate marketing. It is socially acceptable for blogs to monetize and more people would begin expanding their topics since they realize that they will be able to take it up a notch simply from being a hobby to something that they can make money with.

A Few Other Changes
A few other changes that are expected to occur in 2011 affiliate programs have been listed below:

* Networks may snap up contracts and work with the publishers on an exclusive basis to enjoy more benefits.

* Re-marketing and re-targeting will go mainstream for the performance sector. However, voucher and coupon codes will still remain critical and strong.

* More relationships will go in-house since advertisers and agencies will take the cream of the affiliate base. The networks may run a risk of becoming facilitators of relationships.

* Affiliate marketing will become integrated into a less isolated and wider sector. Performance Marketing is more likely the way it would be described.

* Continued innovation and consolidation in the industry, going main stream and other innovations will affect its performance.

* Mobile commerce applications would be on a rise. E commerce would be a very strong player in the affiliate marketing industry.

* It is expected that mobile affiliate networks would be a separate niche segment of its own because of the constant growth of mobile commerce. The networks will allow advertisers and publishers to increase their online presence and enhance revenue generation by using the mobile market.

* The recession has taught us a lot of lessons and these lessons will be used in 2011 to avoid the mistakes of the past and to be ready for the challenges that the industry still may have to face the next year.

* The Thanksgiving Holiday in 2011 shopping period is again expected to break the records of online sales like the last two years and will mark a record growth in the affiliate networks. This would the third consecutive year where large revenue would be made through e commerce channels.

To learn more about 2011 Affiliate Programs Fill in the form on the first page, follow the instructions that will be sent to your email and then watch the videos on steps 2 and 3 of the second page to see more of the top strategies and techniques that you can start using today to begin building and promoting your business more effectively online today!

Local Philippines: Rockin' Romblon

Romblon, a cluster of 20 islands in southern Luzon, is known as the marble capital of the Philippines. The quality of its marble is said to be among the best in the world and is comparable to that of Italy's Carraca. However, Romblon has a lot of offer other than its high-quality metamorphic rocks.

Located some 346 kilometers south of Manila, Romblon covers a land area of 1,533.5 square kilometers. It is divided into 17 municipalities which are blessed with abundant natural resources, making the province one of the primary ecotourism destinations in the archipelago of 7,107 islands. Romblon has also its own share of white sand beaches that are perfect for swimming and other water recreations.

Romblon is now placed in most Philippine travel guides, thanks to the improving public transport infrastructure. Gone are the days of boring and tiresome sea travel. The province, which offers a host of must-see attractions for discerning travelers, is now less-than-an-hour plane ride from Manila. This development has tourists talking about Romblon again.

Here are some of the top attractions in Romblon.

Bonbon Beach
Bonbon Beach is a haven for beach bummers. Located in Brgy. Suwa, Bonbon Beach is known for its fine white sand. Right across the beach is an islet that has a secluded swimming area. It is accessible by foot during low tide. What makes Bonbon Beach more appealing to the public is that it has a gradually sloping ocean floor, making it safe for children to swim and play.

Mt. Guiting-Guiting
Situated in the heart of Sibuyan Island, Mt. Guiting-Guiting is regarded as one of the most difficult and challenging climbs in the Philippines. Daredevils trekking this majestic mountain must first hurdle a steep, jagged ridge called "Knife Edge." The weather in this 2,058-meter tall wonder is often volatile, prompting mountaineers to use cut-off times to reach the summit. Some 54 endemic plant species can be found in Mt. Guiting-Guiting.

Kanidugan Festival
Despite not generating much hype compared to other Philippine festivals, an annual event in the municipality of Odiongan is making big noise in the local tourism sector. Kanidugan Festival, which is held on the first week of April, celebrates the coconut industry. A highlight of the event is a street dancing wherein participants are dressed in vibrantly colored costumes made from indigenous materials.

San Andres and Santiago Forts
The twin forts of San Andres and Santiago are another interesting attraction in Romblon. These historical fortresses, which are made from coral blocks and ricks, were constructed between 1644 and 1573. The forts were used by local officials to protect the town from invading Moro raiders and Dutch pirates. Today, Fort San Andres is being used as a weather station.

Other points of interest in Iloilo are the St. Joseph Cathedral and Belfry, Guyangan Caves, Lambingan Falls, and Cotta Tower. Visitors who are interested in how marble is processed can visit hundreds of quarries and factories around the province. Meanwhile, a common travel tip experts give to first-time tourists is not to expect lavish accommodations in Romblon. However, there are resorts and hotels offering bed and breakfast services and other affordable vacation packages.

Local Philippines is your travel buddy. We have information about the destinations, how to get there, what to do while in the area and more! Destinations in the beaches or in the mountains, destinations under water, destinations right at the middle of the urban hub, name it and Local Philippines will most likely feature it.

Scuba Diving Courses

scuba diving courses_4"scuba diving courses"
course selection for advanced scuba diving just thinking of some need opinions?

i want to do my advanced scuba diving course i already have my open water i know i get to pick 3 electives but if you can explain more to me that would be great. the electives im thinking of is night diver, fish identification aware, drift diver, wreck diver, and diver propulsion vehicle if you have any others you have done u can suggets or which of the 3 let me know thanks

The idea of the AOWD course is to do dives that you're interested in--actually to entice people into doing the full Specialty course.

So if you're interested in all of those dives, then pick any three for your AOWD, it doesn't matter which--provided the dive centre where you do them can offer them (not all centres have DPVs, for example). There's no reason why you shouldn't do the other two as 'stand-alone' dives, or as part of the relevant Specialty (e.g. if you want to go for your Master Scuba Diver rating).

Night diver's good because you get to see a whole different side to your divesite--also gives you practice at low-vis diving, if all your dives up to now have been in clear sunlit water.

Fish ID is useful if e.g. you have inclinations towards marine biology as a career, or if you just want to know what you saw on a dive, without having to ask someone else every time.

Drift diver's useful if you're expecting to do a lot of boat diving.

Wreck diver will give you a basic introduction to wreck hazards and techniques (although it has to be said that you would probably be better off going in the tekkie direction for this kind of training).

Driving a DPV is just plain old FUN! :-)

Personally, of the five you mention, I think I'd pick Night, DPV, and Wreck. But that's just me. If I was your instructor, I'd then schedule the course as DPV, Navigation, Night on Day 1, Deep and Wreck on Day 2 (assuming you were doing a weekend course).

Top Ten Beautiful Sights that the Philippines has to Offer

In Asia, it is also one of the popular countries that get visited yearly by tourists, and here are the top ten places that they love going back to.

1.) Intramuros

This walled "city" is located in Manila. It served as a walled settlement of the Spaniards during their occupation of the country and, as such, has its own museums as well as churches and wonderful ruins. Today, this well-preserved Intramuros is one of the visited places in the Philippines.

2.) Rizal Park

Also called Luneta, this is a very good place if you want a leisurely walk. This park is dedicated to the Philippines' national hero, Jose Rizal, who was not only a poet but a very good writer during the Spanish era, and this was also the place where he was executed. Now, this is a popular place for picnics.

This is a walking distance from the Rizal Park. You can find here numerous restaurants and bars offering wonderful foods and drinks. This is also a nice place to stroll along as well as listen to the many bands that play at night.

What makes this a major tourist spot is that you will find here the bell tower of an old church that was buried when it erupted during the early 1800s, and also, with that major eruption, it buried the Cagsawa town. Now, this is a must-see when you visit the Philippines, and you can also buy your souvenirs here as well as the famous pili nut candy.

Pattaya Guest Friendly Hotels - Budget Accommodations Under 1000 Baht

Pattaya's red light district is an ideal getaway destination for men on a tight budget. Compared to Bangkok, Pattaya is cheaper for eating and playing in the red light districts. But the real true value are the budget girl friendly hotels located throughout the area. A girl friendly hotel won't charge their guests a fee for taking a lady back to their own rooms. A hotel without this policy will charge you 300 baht.

Most travelers visiting Pattaya choose to stay in a cheaper hotel, especially for a short period of time. Now there are plenty of cheap places. However, these hotels may not be in the best condition. But these hotel properties are still very popular especially when the room rate is just 500 baht per night, which usually includes a free simple breakfast.

Are there any cheaper places with equal quality rooms? The answer is yes. But the downside is most good quality budget hotels in Pattaya don't have websites to book rooms in advance. And trust me, booking a room in advance is essential for better deals and to make sure you have a place to stay when you arrive. This is especially true for high season (October to early March). All of the hotels mentioned here are right in Pattaya's red light districts with easy access to go go bars, beer bars and massage parlors.

Some of the budget accommodations recommended in this article are perfect for a few days and if you want to stay longer you'll find a few names of hotels perfect for that too. Though it will cost higher but it's totally worth it.

For a cheap place to stay that won't charge you a fee for taking a lady to your room check out the Sawasdee hotel groups. One of their hotels is near the beach and it's called Sawasdee Sea View. A standard room there cost 535 baht (low season) and includes a simple breakfast. It has the most mixed reviews but it's really popular with seasoned visitors in Pattaya.

There's a slightly cheaper place called Sawasdee Sabai Hotel which has basic rooms for 450 baht and also includes a cheap breakfast. This hotel has lots of returning guests, not because the quality of the rooms are good (it's not) but because it's extremely affordable. I recommend staying here only if you're here to bring bar girls and freelancers back to your rooms and a short term stay.

If you're looking to stay in Pattaya for a longer period of time I recommend Sunshine Hotel & Residence. Their standard rooms cost 900 baht (low season) with a buffet breakfast. It's not near the beach (though there's 2 swimming pools) but it's close to many go go bars and freelance pick up spots. It's definitely a busy area with lots to do for single male travelers.

Eastiny Seven Hotel cost around 950 baht (low season) per night with buffet breakfast included. It is also located in a very busy part of Pattaya's red light district. The rooms at Eastiny are decent size and there is a good pool to relax in as well. This is very clean hotel popular with experienced visitors to Pattaya looking to stay around for awhile.

To recap, all of the hotels mentioned here are guest friendly.  Which means you can take a bar girl, ladyboy or gay back to your room without getting hit with an extra charge. Which in turn defeats the purpose of traveling on a budget. So most of these hotels are very popular and should be booked in advance. And if you can't book a room, don't worry, there are plenty more budget hotels in Pattaya that are guest friendly.

Resorts In Boracay

20 Out of a Thousand Things to Try in Boracay

Strip yourself from the sweltering heat of Manila and step into even hotter territory, where you can get toasty-brown and cozy with friends and family.

Touted as one of the world’s best beaches, Boracay is certainly a place where possibilities are endless!!! Here are just a few of the thousand things you can do where the sand is “sugar-white” and delicious adventures are always in sight.

1. Sip a cold fruit shake by the shore.

2. Watch the sun rise and sun set.

3. Build sandcastles, or pose by one for that keepsake photo.

4. Shop for surfer-dude duds (Boracay is a place where shades and native bracelets abound on every sandy corner. Not to mention sarongs, loose white shirts that show off your tan, and shell home decorations to hang on your walls when you get back home.)

4. Play 18 holes of golf.

5. Skim-board (it’s surfing on sand on a piece of fiberglass. You can make a day of it by learning how, doing it well, or simply have a blast watching others get washed up and end up sharing a few good laughs).

6. Pack your sunblock, camera, and sarong, and island-hop.

7. Go parasailing.

8 Ride horses by the beach.

9. Try the chori-burgers cooked fresh on the side streets.

10. Visit the batcaves.

11. Explore new places to stay, tap into this resort called Grand Boracay resort

Grand Boracay is a resort that's located right in D’Mall of Boracay’s famous Station 2, an idyllic getaway that gives you an option to splash around in a lagoon-shaped pool and snooze in a comfy, airconditioned guestroom when the sun gets too scorching on the beach).

12.Take a ride on the banana boat.

13. Get a henna tattoo.

14. Get your usually-straight hair in braids that’ll shame Bob Marley.

15. Visit and see the dead forests south of the island, next to the fishponds for some artsy photo ops.

16. Get a massage, either by a licensed masseuse or those by the beach whom beachcombers swear are just as qualified.

17. Dance under the stars with friends in any of the Boracay bars and discos.

18. Windsurf.

19. Swim.

20. Hop on an all-terrain vehicle and explore the dunes, there are 2-seater ATVs for rent on the island.

However which way you decide to fill your time in sunny Boracay, you can rest assured that you've already a lot of pebbles to fill your memory glass jar, colorful stories to tell, that could be as bright as the sun, and as dramatic and mysterious as its famous sunset.

Holiday In The Philippines

holiday in the philippines_4"holiday in the philippines"
Where to go in phillipines on holiday?

We have booked a holiday to Philippines (Manila) in March 2011...we have never been to Philippines before and therefore don't know where the best places to stay are? We would like to be near coast and where it is safe and there is good shopping / markets

In Manila, staying along Roxas Boulevard, in any of the hotels, will satisfy your description " near coast, safe, good shopping". "Safe" is always relative, and everyone must take precautions anywhere in the world.

Now, if you want places outside of Manila, then you can review my blog and find the place that suits you well. I travel around the Philippines and write about places.

List Of Boracay Hotels And Resorts

Luckily For Us, Golfing Is Usually Very Near To Boracay Accommodation

If you might be a golfer you'll without any doubt have come across Graham Marsh. He was one of the popular prolific players of his era and also scored more than 69 professional victories during his vocation. Right after his retirement he went on to become probably one of the most highly regarded golf course developers all over the world and among his special creations is to be found in the stunning isle of Boracay. It's here he fell deeply in love with the island and created a worthwhile, 18-hole par 72 design for tourists.

Regardless of its comparatively compact size, Boracay is qualified to offer this course with pride. As Marsh on his own affirms - "it's a distinctive golfing experience, not found somewhere else all over the world." As you can envision, this particular area, one of several hundred in the Philippines archipelago, features substantial, all natural tropical landscaping. This backdrop is fully showcased within the style.

While the all-natural features of the area are definitely front and center, the developers of the particular course also realized that water features are an integral part of the game on its own. For that reason, you will discover numerous magical waterfalls, winding streams and rock filled creeks. Undoubtedly these are gorgeous to check out, however you have to make sure that your ball won't errantly make its way within, either!

What would a course on a stunning exotic island end up being without having striking spectacular vistas of the sea? This you will discover aplenty around the back nine of the 18-hole route. If you're used to playing golf in less tropical situations, you could find that it is hard to target on your actual form and finesse, as you will definitely be preoccupied by landscapes like these.

Unfortunately it is all too often the case that the resort golf course is more of an afterthought than a very carefully or masterfully planned track. This is simply not the situation right here since numerous professionals have described this course as a challenge on its own. This is simply not to say it is as challenging as actively playing the course at Augusta National, on the other hand. If you enjoy some informal golf at home you will undoubtedly like a round or two of the game of golf here, as the chance to break away from the refuge of the Boracay resorts.

People who prefer to take on the challenge of Boracay's course could find themselves coming back for a lot more. They're going to undoubtedly have a lasting impression from the closing golf hole, on the list of strongest, however most beautiful par fours in island golf, anyplace. A few who play right here say that this view of the sea stepping into the clubhouse is unequalled.

Although many of the Boracay hotels are situated close to the gorgeous White Beach, it's not necessary to be worried about the place you book your Boracay accommodation with regards to the course. Keep in mind that the island itself is just four miles long altogether. The golf course is fairly centrally located which means that it's probably very close to the place. It's, after all, great simply to walk just about anywhere on Boracay.

Corregidor: A Memorial to War and Peace in the Philippines

The sight of the lush foliage and tropical flowers of the island of Corregidor rising from the clear blue of the China Sea gives a sense of peace.  If it weren’t for the large cement wharf and traffic from the bustling port of Manila, visitors would be reminded of the Blue Lagoon.

This peaceful setting is, in fact, a memorial to one of the legendary battlefields of World War II.  With an area of 1,735 acres, the island of Corregidor is the largest of four fortified islands in the mouth of Manila Bay that delayed the advancing Japanese by denying them access to one of the best natural ports in  Southeast Asia.

An island fortress from Spanish colonial times, Corregidor was called “the Rock” of the Far East with good reason.  The 628 foot granite hill that comprises most of the island is honeycombed with tunnels.  The largest, called Malinta tunnel, is 1,400 feet long and large enough to drive a bus through.  When General MacArthur abandoned the indefensible city of Manila, these tunnels became not only MacArthur’s headquarters but also the headquarters of the Philippine government, a hospital and the Philippine treasury.

To truly grasp the trials and triumphs of the defense of the Philippines, a visit to Corregidor is a must.  Here are some tips on how to best capture the beauty and mystery of this island:

1.  Bring a camera.  Your friends won’t believe half of what you tell them even with pictures.

2.  Stay overnight.  The sunsets are gorgeous, and the sea breezes give Corregidor more comfortable weather than sweltering Manila.  Besides, there are so many things to see and do.

3.  Bring protective water footgear.  So many things about Corregidor invite investigation, but don’t forget your feet.  The water is beautiful, but the beaches are narrow.  Coral has overgrown many submerged relics and can cut unprotected feet to ribbons in a matter of seconds.

4.  Make sure your travel insurance covers your activities.  The tunnels are thrilling to discover, but not all of them are maintained.  Your travel insurance may consider this spelunking, and you may need to get a sports rider for your spelunking insurance.  If you intend to scuba dive for lost treasure, the travel insurance you purchase needs to cover that as well.  Silver is about the only thing the Philippine treasury left behind, and much of it is buried in deep water.

So on your next trip to Southeast Asia, consider visiting Corregidor and enjoying a sunset for me.

Cornwall Holidays 2010

Cornwall Holidays

Well . . .its that time of year. All the excitement of Christmas has passed us by for another year and the optimism of New Year has come and gone so now we are left with another couple of months of hard winter, with its damp days, cold, dark evenings and not a lot to celebrate.

This is when we start to think ahead and anticipate the pleasures of the year that is yet to come and one of the BIG things we all look forward to is that wonderful summer holiday, or vacation, if you are from the other side of the Atlantic!

With the recession still gripping us by the nether regions and many people thinking about costs, perhaps it is time to think about a holiday at home and Cornwall Holidays 2010.

And what better place could you think about than lovely, magical Cornwall.

There are so many things to see and do, as my family have discovered these past 20 odd years.

I grew up in Cornwall so I hope you will forgive or excuse the bias but really there is nowhere better to enjoy such a wide range of diverse things to do and no matter whether you are a single, a couple or a family. Whether you are a teenager, a thirtysomething, middle aged or advanced middle age ( the last one is me and I am not yet ready to be 'elderly!') Cornwall has something for you.

There is the North Coast Vs South Coast argument which rages.

The North has the rugged, adventure aspect of holidays, together with the mysterious and the mythical.

There is Newquay - the surfing paradise of Cornwall and one of the surf havens of the world, where you can let your hair down, party and pit your wits agains some great surf. And if you are a novice, there are plenty of surf schools where you can learn to brave the wave.

Padstow and Boscastle are two delightful places. Typical, traditional harbour villages and Boscastle has the legacy of the terrible day a few years back when the place and the people in it were very nearly swept into oblivion. You jjust have to visit it to appreciate the fact that it has recovered and is now starting to thrive again.

Tintagel with all the romance, mystery and intrigue of Arthur, Merlin and Excalibur is a place that you just cannot miss, The castle ruins are dramatic and the views . . . .well, they are just breathtaking.

Go south to St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall which has a newly built shopping centre and then on to Truro, down towards the west, which is Cornwall's capital. Truro is a city and one that is well worth visiting for its quaint and historic beauty.

Inbetween there is the science of the Eden project, Just outside Cornwall as well as the china clay museum at Carthew on the A30 between St Austell and Bodmin.

Further on down towards Cornwall's westerly tip you come to Goonhilly, Cornwalls very own satelllite centre and once the largest tracking station in the world.

Then it is on to Lands End and The Lizard, the most southerly point in Britain.

Coming back up the coast there is Looe, Polperro, St Ives, Mevagissey, Gorran Haven, Pentewan and Fowey, all wonderful, traditional holiday towns with plenty for the family to see, do and enjoy.

Pasties, Cream Teas, great sea food and fabulous restaurants, Wonderful Ice Cream and terrific locally brewed beers (not to mention scrumpy).

Cornwall Holidays 2010 has such a lot to offer and you can stay wherever your budget will allow.

Camping, Caravanning, Cottages, Hotels - there is such a range of accommodation options at a range of prices so that everyone can find something that suits there needs as well as their pocket.

There! Just writing about it has made me feel as if spring is only just around the corner!

I shall be down there in about 4 weeks. I am off to Helsett farm in Boscastle to get some of their gorgeous, delicious organic ice cream. Well . . .it is worth the 500 mile round trip!

Diving In Boracay

diving in boracay_2"diving in boracay"

Boracay Accommodation Is Perfectly Placed For Diving Aficionados

There aren't many locations much better positioned for diving as compared to the exotic paradise known as Boracay Island. You can find roughly fifteen specific dive places distributed round the island, mostly towards the south and several businesses around the island which will help one to reach and experience these underwater gems.

You might pick, for instance, to visit Angol Point, that's 12 meters - 35 feet - down and is actually recommended for individuals who are in the beginning stages, or without a doubt take part in training activities. It's really a wonderful spot with regard to evening scuba diving and snorkeling and you can expect to encounter sea cucumbers, anemones, stony corals and the most wonderful colorings.

If you don't suffer from claustrophobia, you may elect to go to the thrilling Bat Cave. No, it's absolutely nothing to do with that celebrated super hero, but is definitely an underwater cave system inhabited by thousands of bats. You might need a little advance scheduling to check out this particular place though as it is extremely susceptible to weather conditions and currents.

If you like to explore shipwrecks, you then might choose to visit the Camia, that had been intentionally scuttled in order to supply a very well-liked, artificial reef. This shipwreck lies at the depth of around 30 meters and is becoming the location of quite a number of diverse and quite colorful marine life. This is certainly a place to bring the camera.

Yapak is considered the most famous of all locations in and around these destinations, and located at a depth of some 40 meters (120 feet). You will probably encounter reef sharks, large indigenous fish and also breathtaking coral structures. It is for the daring as the walls in the marine canyon can easily fall down to greater than seventy meters. It has got to be on your list of "need to do" activities right here.

If you have never encountered diving, the holiday on Boracay Island could be the best spot to be taught. There are several very skilled and quite tolerant teachers here and you can turn out to be qualified to go to most of the marvelous underwater destinations within the space of merely an afternoon. Specifically, after an introduction and the roll-out of information throughout a debriefing, you then go on to train in restricted water. When you are okay with this particular aspect you might be subsequently authorized to take part in an open water dive in relatively shallow waters.

For a few, simple scuba diving training is perhaps all that they need, nevertheless for other people who truly get totally hooked on this superb hobby you are able to acquire dive qualifications if you take part in a number of unique classes offered in the island.

Most of the Boracay accommodation will be there to help you to celebrate the fantastic water sporting activities surrounding this tropical isle. Why don't you try out diving - you may simply be hooked forever?

Derived from the Malay meaning of peace and tranquility – Sentosa is a beautiful island resort located in Singapore. Every year millions of people flock to its stretch of 2km beach to have some fun in the sun. Away from the hectic city life, this southern coastline operates to a different way of life. Here, the coast has been revamped into three beaches of which the central beach is more popular among families with children. The Tanjong Beach is the most frequented beach for sun worshippers who want a bit of quiet time soaking up the sun. The Tanjong Beach is crescent shaped and is often the central venue of special beach parties. The popular KM8 bar located on the beach which closed recently had its farewell, right on this beach. The Siloso beach on the other hand is used mainly by guests of hotels and resorts along the beaches closeby. The Siloso is also popular among crowds that like to party till dawn as the beach pubs are also a popular attraction, bringing in crowds of youngsters. The services at this beach are brilliant .They include facilities like mini eateries, bicycle kiosks, showers and snack bars line the greater part of the beach. Sentosa’s beaches although beautiful is actually man made, and has been created by dumping great mounds of sand purchased from countries like Malaysia and Indonesia. The Palawan beach unlike the others is found towards Sentosa’s southern coast. On this beach there is a bridge that leads to an island which Singaporeans claims as Asia’s closest access point to the equator. The Sentosa Express, which is the beach station situated on the Palawana beach is for the convenience of its many commuters. Tourists who pay a visit to the Sentosa island resort will definitely not want to return home without a stay at a Sentosa island hotel. Sending gifts to the Philippines

Overseas Filipino Workers or OFWs are known for their practice of sending money or remittances to their loved ones in the Philippines. These money are sent as a form of support for their family in the Philippines. However, other than just sending money or remittances, OFWs are also known for their practice of sending items as support for their loved ones in the Philippines, such as clothing, toys, or common household items.

Though as support, these items are mostly known as gifts. The practice of sending gifts to the Philippines have become a sort of icon for being an OFW. Because of the popularity of this practice, a certain type of package have also become very popular for many Filipinos. These are balikbayan boxes.

Boxes by OFWs
Balikbayan boxes are a type of package which is widely used by many overseas Filipinos as a way to send their gifts to their loved ones in the Philippines. What made the box unique is that these types of packages are mostly larger compared to conventional packages used by other people.

However, before it was used as a packaging to send gifts back to the Philippines, the box was first used by overseas Filipinos coming home from abroad. It allowed them to bring their stuff as well as gifts for their family and loved ones in only one packaging. And compared to other packages used by other people, these boxes are far more cost-efficient compared to other forms of packages.

Eventually, due to its cost-efficiency, OFWs have come to use the box as their packaging for sending gifts to the Philippines. However, there are several disadvantages to using balikbayan boxes compared to the use of conventional packages. One is that sending balikbayan boxes mostly takes a lot of time compared to the use of smaller packaging. This is mostly because balikbayan boxes are delivered through container ships. According to many Filipinos, sending a balikbayan box normally takes several weeks to even a month. There is also the issue about the lack of a solid delivery date.

Other methods for sending gifts to the Philippines
Other than the use of balikbayan boxes, many OFWs have also used the capability of Philippine-based online shops and their gift delivery Philippines service to send gifts to the Philippines. What made it popular is its convenience, which is unlike sending a balikbayan box.

Other than its convenience, its gift delivery Philippines services are also known for its fast delivery. Compared to taking a month of delivering a gift to the Philippines, OFWs can easily send gifts to their loved ones within 2 to 5 working days. Some gift delivery Philippines services can also provide them with a free, 24-hour delivery service, such as the services of MyFlowerDepot. For more information visit to our site at http://www.myflowerdepot.com
