Philippine Airlines (PAL) is Asia's oldest commercial airline that still exists under their original company name. Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila is the central hub for the airline. You can find the other major hub for PAL on the Philippine island of Cebu at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport of Cebu City. You can fly to fifty different places both in the Philippines and out of it with PAL. There is no other airline with the history that this airline has. In the 60 plus years Philippine Airlines has operated, they have weathered many storms. This is even more amazing when you realize that they started out in 1941 with only one small Beechcraft airplane. Life seems to be reflected in many ways in this not altogether sad story. They did not give up regardless of what was happening to them and around them. Nothing is quite as bad as a world war and they were able to survive that intact.
