Going on a roadtrip and looking to spend 10,000-a-night on a boutique hotel/resort.
Something like Lighthouse in Subic ( http://www.lighthousesubic.com/ ) or Acuatico in Laiya ( http://www.acuaticoresort.com.ph/ ).
Willing to drive 6 hours tops. Any ideas?
Hi. Please no narky answers. This is the first vacation I've had in five years. And I'd like to be pampered for a change. I know 10K's a lot, but I saved up for it. Please don't tell me how to spend my money. (Yes, Dom, I'm looking at you and your self-righteous answer.)
For a great pampering, go to Segara Villas in Subic. It is better than Lighthouse. Indulge yourself in this spa-hotel, where all accommodations are in villas. A villa I got is called Denpasar, costing me P10,900 per day.
I refer you to my reply to a question about Subic where I even compared Lighthouse with Segara Villas. The links are also there.

Or you can go to Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Batangas. Punta Fuego id the Forbes Park of beaches. But you must find a friend who can refer you, because Punta Fuego is exclusively for homeowners, members, and their guests. There are beautiful cabanas for members and guests who did not build beach homes in Punta Fuego. There is a wharf for yachts, and a beautiful golf course overlooking the ocean. Or you may just want to laze around their infinity pools, in different locations within the complex.
The two other alternatives are Anvaya Cove in Morong and Tagaytay Highlands, both of which are also members-only. But chances are you or your friends know some who are members.
Anvaya Cove is the Ayala Group's response to the high-end Punta Fuego.
I trust you will like both places when you see them, or even by first going into their website. Please just google.
Go ahead and indulge, nothing wrong with it. We all deserve worldly pleasures every so often.
