Do you know a resort in the Philippines that meets the following criteria?

Not a tourist trap like Boracay or Puerto Galera. We prefer peace and relaxation.
3-star, preferably 5000 php or max of 100 usd a night for 2 pax, good comfortable resort
nice white sand beach but it doesn't have to be the best
with decent reasonably-priced food
accessible, close enough to the town

I'm thinking of Bohol, Cebu, Camiguin, Surigao, Davao etc. Coron/Busuanga will be nice although I don't know what 3-star resorts they have there.

It's amazing how many great beaches we have here. It's too bad most people only know of Boracay and other popular destinations.

Lots of choices and you can read a couple of them in my blog.

For starters, Laiya in San Juan, Batangas is near and yet the beaches are beautiful. With a wide variety of accommodations.

Camiguin beaches are not the best, but the island has more to offer than beaches.

Bohol, particularly Panglao, has excellent beaches.

Samal Island off davao is also nice, with white sand beaches.

Siargao in Surigao has just made it to the world's list of top 10 islands to visit.

Cebu, particularly the towns around it (Bantayan and Malapascua) are great beach destinations.

You can also go to Baler, on the eastern coast of Luzon.

My personal favorite is the island of Siquijor. The whole island is made of white sand beaches, including the areas where fishermen haul their catch.
